Ever since I was a kid I dreamed of having a human friend. I gave up on that dream though, when my family moved to Anima city when I was 14. At first I was sad to leave everything behind, but then didn't care as my life there was not very kind to me. I spent my high school and college years living there, and never felt better. I had good friends and a good education.

When I graduated from college I went on to be an ACP (Anima City police.) agent. I wanted to protect people since I was little. I saw a cat trying to attack a little bird with a hurt wing. I swatted it away and saved the bird, nursing it back to health and soon releasing it. Even since then I tried to put others before myself.

A few years later, all of Anima city was bustling around excitedly. For the 10 year anniversary of Anima city. I to was excited. Had it really been 10 year we've had peace. The festival was tonight and all shops and businesses were closed in final preparation.

I stood and stared up at the mayors tall skyscraper. A large smile appeared on my face as I thought of how far the beastmen have come. My thoughts were interrupted by the ringing of my phone in my coat pocket. I pulled it out and pressed it to my ear.

"Hello." I spoke into the phone. "Hey Noriko, we're short on security for tonights festival. I was wondering if you could work surveillance." Came the voice of an older gentleman. It was my boss and I couldn't say no. Though I didn't want to.

I sighed, pausing for a moment. "Yea yea that's fine." I placed a hand in my dark red leather jacket as I began to walk. "Good, I'm happy to have my best agent there." I could hear him laughing for a moment before he hung up.

I decided to head home to get ready myself.

It was finally time for the moment all of Anima city has waited for. The festival was held in the stadium. Everyone there was so happy. Running around and smiling with friends and family.

To celebrate the whole city parties in their animal form. Everyone cheered and clapped as the mayor gave an announcement, a few minutes in.

I almost cried to see the joy and laughter on people's faces. The beastmen of Anima city were free, and safe.

The festival was not even half over, when it happened. There was a huge bang, as everyone looked over at the jumbo screen to see it begin to crash to the ground.

Scrams and cries could be heard, as everyone quickly ran to the exit. I looked around frantically to make sure everyone was all right. Suddenly I spotted an older beastman, slowly trying to run with a walker away from the mess. As the jumbo screen continued to fall, I realized the old man wasn't going to make it. I was about to run to get him when a young Tanuki girl rush to him pulling him out of harms way.

A large sigh of relief came to me when the screen landed with a large thud, and no one was under it. My heart sunk as I looked around at the ruble, and scared citizens. Anima city's 10th anniversary festival Was ruined.

I begin helping people up. I wondered what my boss would say when I let something like this happen on my watch. After a moment a large blue and white, wolf beastman walked to were the fallen jumbo screen once stood. I watched him as the same Tanuki girl walked up behind him.

The wolf closed his eyes for a moment before opening them up and walking away. I didn't know what his nose had picked up. So I walked over and did the same.
