Late nights,
I drive continuously down the paved road,
light after light
left alone in my mind,
listening to Ed Sheeran,
the blur of colors
red, green and white head lights pass me by.
Road is endless but the night never lasts forever. Until dawn breaks the light comes in
the drive is almost over.
Let night not overwhelm, or overtake you,
let no other cars bother you
when you are on your way.
Life seems like it continues to move,
constantly finding oneself behind the wheel.
But when you look back
and see nothing was chasing you,
no one's sitting behind in the back seat.
No you are alone,
but it's not lonely,
no not at all.
Departing on an endless journey
