Rosa impatiently tapped her fingernails against the bookstore's counter as Jessica went on about the cute bartender from the Wave. A small feeling of uneasiness crawled through Rosa's body since this morning and hasn't left. She had a feeling something bad was going to happen.
"Wait," Rosa finally said cutting off Jess. "I thought you and Marcus were a thing?"
Jess sighed. "We are, well I mean we were. After that shit he pulled with you and Kai, I told him I needed some space. But, obviously not too much space cause I still want to go to the spring fling with you guys."
Rosa eyes widen. She had forgotten all about her twins spring fling fraternity ball event that Seth invited her to. Rosa had agreed to go with Seth back when Kai had disappeared and she thought he wasn't coming back. She shook her head, that's another problem for another day. "Jess, if you like Marcus, don't let something like that stop you. He can be an ass but I know he meant well. He just needs to get over the older brother act. I have one brother. That's it."
"And I completely agree with you one hundred percent on that, girl. You have one hot brother and that's all you need," Jess winked at Rosa.
Rosa rolled her eyes at Jess playfully. The bells above the bookstore door made noise as someone walked in. Jess and Rosa both turned to see who walked in catching eyes with familiar green ones. Stefan Salvatore looked over at the two females and nodded as he started walking towards them.
"Rosa, just fyi, broody cutie is on his way over here," Jess leaned over the counter to whisper to Rosa.
Rosa gave her a stern look knowing Stefan definitely heard what she just said.
"Rosa," Stefan grinned at her after hearing what Jess said and then turned towards Jess giving her a small nod.
"Right, well this is awkward already. I'm going to go now. Rosa, I will see you later? Possibly, depending however this ends. Stefan, hello and goodbye," Jess said as she begin heading towards the exit.
"Goodbye, Jess," Stefan said shaking his head laughing.
Rosa groaned and mentally cursed Jess for leaving. It feels like ages since she's last spoken to Stefan and the last time she did, it was back to the awkward Stefan like when they first met. She leaned against the counter and smiled at Stefan. "Hi," Rosa said.
Stefan leaned forward across the counter from her gripping the edges. "Hi," he said.
"Okay, this is awkward. Why?" Rosa said. She didn't understand why Stefan was here. But she was pretty sure it would lead to a favor the Salvatore's needed from her.
Stefan cleared his throat. "I came to see you. I've been wanting to see you for awhile now but it seems I always miss my opportunity."
Rosa raised an eyebrow. "Oh really? Because you and Damon still have been scheming and involving me in your plans somehow without actually speaking to me directly."
