The true story of Batman Beyond (Preview)

The Journey begins

It's been twenty years since batman was seen people think his just a story other don't. I was 10 when i heard about him i was 11 when i heard two men saying that they were going to exterminate batman i didn't know what that meant. I thought batman was dead or something and i also think i heard the word joke or joker i wasn't sure since it really loud in Gotham during day time. That day i went to tell my dad Bruce Wayne he never like batman but i just had to tell someone my friend's were gone for the summer and my mom is always at work so my dad was my only option. After i told him he seemed worryed he told me on October 28th at 12:00 the clock will open on the room of reading and all will be reviled i didn't know what that meant. That night he left to "finish buissnes" and never came back i blamed myself i don't know why he left i just keep thinking it was my fult since i was the last person he talk to that night. I try to forget that night. It was October 28 and i became 12 that year. My mom told me to go to bed so i did. Then it was 12:00 so i waited and then i heard a noise comeing from the library i went downstairs trying to make the least noise as possible to not wake up my mother. Luckily i made it to the library and the family clock was their as i waited the clock open i was surprised since i lived here my whole life and got close to it their was a flight of stairs heading downward. After 5 minutes or so i got the courage to go down that stairs. As i went down were i was able to see some light at the end of the stairs. When i got to the end i couldn't believe what i saw. The Bat-cave as i got closer their were was a flying orb that open and their was a hologram of my dad. It was him he said "son i known i haven't been hear for you lately i had to leave to keep you and your mother safe and since im gone someone has to protect the city". What did he meant by "protect the city"-Terry."I guess it time i tell you the family secret you ready" then the orb turnd off. Their was a person behind me and said "Im batman" i turned around and it was my dad. I couldn't say anything all i wanted to do was cry.
