Sun shone down on a grassy field, the grass was long and brittle, a divine blend of yellows and greens. A quaint angel lay on his back, facing the cloud covered sun. The star in the sky seemed to be reeling Castiel in. He exhaled softly and his eyelashes fluttered, the sun made him think of only one being. Dean.

As if he knew he were thinking of him, Dean trotted through the field and sat next to Castiel.

"Hey, Cas." Castiel closed his eyes and the sound of his gruff voice. It was as if bells were ringing. All reminding him of why he saved this human. He was dear, Castiel vowed to forever cherish him. These feelings were a bit  cliche.

"Hello, Dean."

Dean smiled and fiddled with a half crumpled down paper bag. Castiel could smell something sweet and baked, he assumed it was from the bag. Castiel thought it was pleasant.

"Do you want to share this pie?"

Castiel opened his eyes and propped up on his elbows. He faced Dean and raised his eyebrow.

"Share your precious pie with me?"

"You're far more precious than a pie." Dean giggled at how idiotic he sounded. Castiel thought it was sweet.

"I don't need to eat, Dean."

"Everything should experience the joy of pie. Open wide." Dean said, unfolding the paper bag and stabbing the cherry pie with a fork. He lifted it up to Castiel's mouth and waited. Castiel sighed and opened his mouth. Dean made a small airplane noise, a habit from feeding Sam when he was young. Castiel bit down and chewed slowly. The flavor was sweet, gooey and it melted in his mouth almost. He could understand why Dean enjoyed pie so much. He was about to say he wanted more when he realized Dean had finished the pest of the pie.

"Ah. Love me some pie."

Castiel smiled and pulled Dean closer to him.

"You're such a silly little human."

Dean snorted.

"Shut up, Cas." He reached up and pushed Cas' face away lightly. Castiel kept Dean's face on his chest and kissed the top of his head. His hair smelled like grease and extremely cheap cologne. At least he tried. Castiel sighed contently and closed his eyes again. The sweet pair drifted off to sleep in the cozy field, surrounded by each other's embraces.

Sam let them freeze outside in the cold.
