A Love I've Lost

The Beginning

The sun would smile because of how you shined in that moment.

I wish to see you look at me like the first time you saw a sunset in the mist of a rainy day.

~

I believe even the gods would marvel at your beauty, kiss your cheek gently and pray to you for salvation.

~

I've feared the ocean and what secrets lay in it for as long as I can remember, but when I saw you emerge from it that day the only thing I have feared since then is the thought of not knowing you.

~

I wonder if when you look at him and shed another tear that wasn't meant to grace your face would you see that I stand behind you ready to kiss it away when you are ready.

~

Can I love you as I wish to? Lay at your feet in agony, waiting for your approval, only to have my chin lifted gently in your soft hands and look you in your eyes as you whisper that I was enough the whole time.

All I want is to have a love that even the gods would be envious of.

~

You call me in like a siren amongst the sea, waiting for me to lose the battle and give in to you. The thing is I know I would, you would win, but I wouldn't mind.

(I know I haven't finished the other stories I've done but it's because I have a lot to deal with and to be honest I am ashamed of my writing skills. But I would like to write down about a love I dream of that gets me through life. To romanticize what little I can because I feel like I would never feel such a love. So here it is. Btw they don't exactly connect, just thoughts.)
