Wings of steel

Prologue

Running through the gem filled cave made failstar remember her life before becoming a guardian of the growth, oh how she would kill just for a day not to go running after some dragnets trying to steal star berries to sell. "Got ya!" Failstar yelled as she cornered the dragnets "give them to me kids. " fails-star sighs as she looks down at them "b-but theses are ours!" The dragnets yelled.
"Yeah whatever they only grow here so hand them over!"

But as the dragnets handed them over she could only think if they were really from some where else where we only stay here to survive on these berries is there other growths of star berries? Impossible.  As she shoved the kids through the grand gate she could only think why would they lie like that? Just to get out of punishment, did they think she was that stupid?
When she got back to her station closest to the growth she could hear the humming of the obsidian wings picking the berries as her feet stumbled on something a gem... why isn't this in a incubator she thought. Well I guess I must bring it there as she walked throughout the winding halls she somehow managed to remember find her way
She walked in as she saw all of the gems were on the floor and all the caretakers dead. She backed to the hall as she heard someone call for her
"Ah failstar how you never stop to realize why is no one greeting me or why is there no noise?"
Announced the anonymous dragon. As she twirled around trying not to drop the gem she saw him the exile who killed the queen
"Why are you here?" She stuttered
"Oh no did you forget your promise to always to help me in the future? Or did you just think I would forget? Any way I need your help with this project."
As she stared in rubys eyes she felt her head to spin as he started to warp her thoughts.
"NO I WILL NOT LET YOU USE ME LIKE YOU USED EVERYONE ELSE!" She screamed as she shut her eyes as tightly closing as physically possible

"Oh I see you just don't want to help a old friend. Well I guess you don't want to see your brother again, so sad I was going to give him back to the kingdom but now I have to kill him." Ruby sighed as he started to fly off as failstar thought about the consequences
"Wait!"
"Oh what's this now? Made your decision? Ready to come with me?"ruby uttered
"Yes but under one condition you let my brother go no animus magic just him."
"Very well shall we go?"
NO she thought as her wing's started to fly.
