Chapter 1

"Mom!" We want our breakfast! Breakfast! Breakfast!" The sweet little voices echoed in the room as they both yelled in unison calling their mom to serve their favourite breakfast.

"Coming honey buns! Just two minutes!" The lady in the kitchen replied to the kids who were eagerly waiting for their delicious breakfast at the table. She hurriedly put the hot pancakes on the plate and added the strawberry syrup on the top, making it more flavourful and chocolate syrup on the other one.

The delicious warm aroma of the sweet cakes reached their noses making them drool over it and making them eagerly wait for it.

"Here's your favs!" She chirped gleefully as she served it to both the kids making their orbs gleam in excitement as they both took their first bite. They both chomped in delight as they closed their eyes feeling every flavour on their taste buds.

The view of watching her twins eating in content with a warm smile filled her heart with warmth as her hazel brown eyes got filled with warm water and a subtle smile grazed her rosy lips. For her, this view of her kids enjoying breakfast peacefully was no less than any view from the seven-star hotel. She was even ready to pay millions of bucks to see them smiling and living their lives happily. Well it was not her, it was her motherhood.

Vivienne was watching her kids while they were enjoying their delicious warm food when suddenly her phone rang. She saw the caller ID and a relieved look contoured her features. She got up to leave the place as she sauntered towards the kitchen while picking up the call.

"Hello!" She answered the call waiting for the other person to speak. "Hello, Vivienne!" A deep voice resonated from the other side.

"Come to the company now! It's an emergency, the boss is going nuts right now and is saying that he's gonna fire you from the job! Come quickly!"

"What the hell! But-!" The male voice hurriedly spoke in a breath as he cut the call without giving any opportunity for her to ask about this sudden havoc. She rushed into her room to get ready instantly as she hurriedly called Anna, one of her closest friends and her kids's daycare teacher.

She met Anna seven years ago on the stairs of the hospital where she was about to slip off but she saved her life as she instantly caught her hand. She was an angel for her, full of hope and generosity. Unfortunately, she fainted and in the hospital, Anna found out Vivienne was pregnant with the twins. Anna gave her hand when she was in the most vulnerable state. As the days passed by, slowly Anna filled the void in her life that she had already left behind.

It was never easy for her to survive in this new place full of deceiving people. She wasn't in the state to trust anyone but then God gave her the best sister in the form of Anna. Being a single mother in this society was tough but with her support system, it became a little less difficult for her. Many people had asked her about the father but she had no answer. What was she gonna say? He left! Or she was too blinded to see his deceiving eyes!

When he left her alone, she was shattered and disheartened. She tried to take her life but couldn't! Her twins, her babies were her strength and hope to live for them. Yes, she knew she was going to get judged at every single point but for her, all that mattered was her kids.

When she left her hometown, she had already decided to never look back again and here she was now seven years later flourishing as a strong independent woman, a good and caring mother and a successful fashion designer. Her life was finally getting back on track. With her closed eyes and her head resting on the window glass, lost in her thoughts, she finally snapped back to reality when she heard the driver honking the horn. She instantly fixes herself up as soon as she sees that she is about to reach her workplace.

"What happened!" The young lady rushed immediately into the room and hurriedly opened the door of her office with a worried face she yelled.

"SURPRISE!"

A huge round of applause and popping of confetti was heard in the room making her eyes shut instantly but after a few seconds, she finally peeked through her lashes and saw the room full of decorations and a party was going to get started.

"Oh my god, what is this!" She spoke flabbergasted at the moment as she saw the smiling faces and decorated room. She slowly walked inside when someone grabbed her hand from behind, taking her aback. Before she could react, she was already standing near the cake on which congratulations were written in big italics font.

"Congratulations and I wish you even more success in life!" One of her colleagues, Teresa congratulated her. Though she was clueless, she accepted the greetings. Among all the chaos and confusion, her eyes were only searching for him. Her best friend Justin.

For the moment her eyeballs stopped at the tall figure who was smiling in ecstasy as their gaze met. She instantly sauntered towards him with a frowning face. "What the hell was that!" She jabbed him lightly with her hand as he giggled slightly.

"You know how much I was worried because of your stupid prank call!" She complained while he just giggled even more. "Well well, I just wanted to see that look on your face and boom! I got one hahahah! Heck, you were yelling like some Karen getting mad for not getting a discount hahaha!" She instantly punched him at his stupid remark making him slightly groan. "Ahh woman! Hold on! hold on! hahaha! It's hurting! He nagged at her while caressing his arm to soothe the pain.

"You deserved it!" She mumbled shifting her focus back on the party. "Congratulations! You know Justin had planned all this surprise party for you!" Isabella, her colleague, snorted as she wished her for the success.

"Thank You so much!" She replied to everyone while receiving the heartfelt wishes. Her orbs glimmered with the delightful event as her heartbeat raised due to being jittery. She rubbed her palms together when he held hers in his big ones giving it a light squeeze to calm her down.

"Congratulations Ms. Collins! You are now the senior designer of our company and you are assigned to another branch. Here's your promotion letter." Mr. Rogers greeted her as soon as he handed in the promotion letter.

Her hazel orbs glimmered with happiness as warm water rolled down her rosy cheeks like pearls. It was the reward of her hard work and dedication which she had put throughout the years. Now this promotion means a better salary, and better advantages and she could raise her kids better than before.

She accepted the letter and the wishes as they all enjoyed her success party. After the party, she finally got the time to read her reward. She made her way through the crowd as she finally found the safe place for her.

With a huge grin plastered on her face and a drumming heart, she took a moment to relax as she finally opened up the letter to read. Her eyes scanned the paper as she read each word twice to verify if she hadn't read something wrong.

"No!"Her smile dropped while her gaze got stuck on that particular word as that word escaped her lips.
