            I could hear the pounding beat of the music from outside the club. The line wrapped all the way around the block. Theme night, everyone always shows up to party through the night. I was wearing a black corset like draped top with some skinny jeans and black ankle high boots. 80’s night, one of my favorite nights we have at ‘The Devils Den’. Everyone is dressed like fools and I’m just there in my fully back outfit, best part about being the DJ slash fill in bartender.

            I showed up right as Monica was coming out to hand me her shift. I wasn’t supposed to be working to night but she has to get back to her kid and I was happy to fill in for her.

“Hey Tally, Mike said he wants to see you when you get in.” Oh god last time Mike asked to see me I spilled a half pint of Juicy Fruit on some guy who touch Jamie, my best friend.

            “Oh joy.” I muttered sarcastically. I walked into the club. I was instantly hit with the strobe lights and the smell of sweaty body’s dancing, oddly enough it was kind of comforting to me, smelled like home in a way.

            I listened to them music intently as I made my way through the crowd to my boss Mikes office. Mike was an old middle-ages man, but he doesn’t look it at first, he is tall and skinny has black hair and if it wasn’t for the few grey streaks in his hair you would never guess he was over 34.

The blaring music was one of my favorite songs ‘Tonight’ by Hot Chella Ray, I know it’s cheesy but it’s a fantastic song. I looked up at the DJ stand and saw Allison filling in for a quick bit while I am going to get scolded for one of many thing I did that I wasn’t supposed to. She spotted me and smiled sympathetically. Yep, totally getting scolded.
