It was supposed to be a simple hiking trip, just a weekend getaway to escape the stress of the city. He had always loved the woods, the peace and quiet of nature. But as he walked deeper into the forest, the trees grew thicker, and the light grew dimmer. He felt a growing sense of unease, as if he was being watched.

That's when he saw her, the old lady. She was sitting on a log, staring at him with piercing, beady eyes. He tried to ignore her, to walk past as if she wasn't there, but she called out to him. Her voice was scratchy and hoarse, and she beckoned him to come closer. He hesitated, but her words were so inviting that he couldn't resist.

As he approached her, he noticed that her skin was wrinkled and covered in sores. She wore tattered clothes and smelled of decay. He felt a wave of revulsion but tried to be polite. She offered him a cup of tea, and he accepted, eager to quench his thirst. The tea was bitter and tasted of dirt, but he didn't want to be rude and finished it all.

That's when he felt the effects. His vision started to blur, and he felt dizzy and disoriented. The old lady cackled, revealing a mouthful of rotting teeth. She stood up, revealing that she was much taller than he had first thought, and her limbs seemed to stretch and bend in unnatural ways.

He tried to run, but his legs wouldn't cooperate. He stumbled and fell, feeling the old lady's hands closing around his neck. He tried to scream, but no sound came out. He knew he was going to die, alone in the woods, at the hands of a demented old woman. And as his vision faded, he couldn't help but wonder what other horrors lurked in the darkness of the forest.
