It was a bright sunny day. I woke up and had dreams when I used drugs like cocaine. It still haunts me to this day. I drive my car to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. I head on over to the attending's room to change my clothes into my uniform with my white coat. I hear my pager beeping and quickly read my pager. I got paged to go to Dr. Hunt to the trauma center. I quickly head to the trauma center. I put on a yellow trauma gown and waited outside the hospital with Hunt for a ambulance to come. An ambulance comes and stops. I opened the ambulance doors and hear, "Jane Smith, 17, has liver failure, had a heart attack in the field, and is a drug addict. She drank a mixture of alcohol and cocaine." said paramedic Ray. Me and Hunt quickly got the patient inside the hospital. Then I remember how I was a drug addict when I was growing up and kept on thinking about it when Hunt counted to three so we can put the patient on a trauma bed. I heard Hunt telling me to check for breathe sounds and heart beats. I hear for breathe sounds but when I checked for his heart beats, I hear her heart beeping fast. Then suddently, her heart starts to fail. I shouted to the nurses, "PAGE Pierce." 3 minutes later, Pierce, quickly running. What happened? I told her everything. She quickly checks her heart. She says, "shes having a cardiac arrest." She shouts to the nurses, "BRING A CRASH CART HERE!"The nurses quickly coming with the crash cart. Pierce shouted, "charge it to 250!" Nurses responded, "CLEAR!" She puts the paddles on her heart, but she didn't reacted. Pierce did it again. Pierce did it again. Still no pulse. Pierce tells me, "shes gone, you call it." I briefly stared at the patient quickly as Pierce watched me. I responded, "11:22."
I stayed with the corpse. Hunt & Pierce left. I then looked at the corpse again. I checked on one of pockets of her pants and I found some cocaine. I wanted to take it but my body is refusing to take it. My body is saying, "yes, yes, yes, no, no, no!" I quickly took the bag of cocaine into one of my pockets before anyone sees me take them. I leave the corpse there. I head on to the supplies room, I sniffed the cocaine and I felted so high. I heard a knock on the door. I quietly stayed still. Then there was another knock on the door. I opened the door and it was Webber. I tried not to look at him because my eyes were red as a watermelon. I walked quickly avoiding him. I went to the attending's room. I go to the bathroom and rinse my eyes. I head back to the attending's room. I sit down on one of the couches. I see Webber passing by. As he passed the attending's room, he saw me. He walks backwards and comes walking to me.
