After spending some time reading some magazines left for you in your room, you hear a soft knock on your door.
"Come in!" you say.
The door opens and a girl with dreads tied up into a ponytail walks in. She's wearing a blue bikini top with a pretty palm leaf pattern and light colored bell bottoms jeans. In between her lips is a fake cigarette. She's also holding a lunch tray.
"Y/n? My name is Kuina." she says with a smile. "Ann sent me here to bring you your lunch and check on you. How are you doing?"
"Hi, Kuina. I'm doing a little better. Thank you for checking on me." you smile back. Kuina takes a seat on your bed as you sit up to eat your lunch.
"You're welcome. I already ate but if you'd like I can sit here with you and keep you company?"
You nod as you take a bite of your food.
"I'd like that."
Kuina smiles.
"So you play volleyball?" she asked.
"I do! I'm the captain of my high school volleyball team."
"That's so cool! How long have you been playing for?"
"Ever since I was a little kid. I joined the junior leagues when I was still in the United States. Played all through elementary and middle school."
Kuina took her fake cigarette out from her mouth. "So why did you come out to Tokyo? Why didn't you stay in the States during high school? If you don't mind me asking."
"It's no worries. I started my first year of high school in the States. My Papa is a heart surgeon and was offered a position here in Tokyo. So my little brother and I moved out here to be with him. Although, he's almost never home." you chuckle softly.
"Oh wow! It's cool that you got to come out here. It sucks that he's not home, though."
You smile and look down. "Yeah. It's okay, though. I'm used to being home alone with my little brother b/n."
Kuina watches you as a year falls down your face.
"I'm going to survive this sick game so I can return to my little brother."
Kuina smiles and wipes your tear from your cheek. "I know you can do it. You have a strong heart, y/n."
"Thanks," you sniff.
"Of course. Ann wants me to check your ankle if that's okay?"
"Yeah, of course!" You smile to Kuina as you continue to eat your food.
She slowly takes off your bandage and apples slight pressure to your ankle.
"Mmf." You squint your eyes and slightly moan.
"It's still a little tender." Kuina says as she's looking at your ankle.
"Yeah, a little. But I'll be okay for my game the night after tomorrow."
"I know you will! Do you need another ice pack?" Kuina asked.
"I'll be okay. I really want to walk around or get some exercise. My body is aching for it." you laugh.
Kuina laughed with you. "I'll reseal your bandage. I heard Chishiya is going to take you around the Beach later so maybe you can get your exercise in then."
Kuina wraps your bandage up and offers you some pain medication but you decline.
"I'll leave them on your night stand then just in case you'd like to take them." Kuina smiles.
She stands up and takes your lunch tray and your tray from earlier.
"I gotta go but I'll see you later! Nice meeting you y/n!" She waves to you as she heads out of your room.
She's sweet, you thought.
You still had a few hours before Ann and Katsuki's game, so you decided to take a nap. You laid back down in your bed and got comfortable. You closed your eyes and drifted off to sleep, hoping you wouldn't have to experience that same nightmare again.
~few hours pass~
You were suddenly awoken to your door closing shut. It took your eyes a few seconds to adjust when you saw Chishiya standing by your door.
"Have you ever been taught how to knock before entering?" you said while rubbing your eyes. Chishiya chuckles softly while crossing his arms.
"I did. Three times. You didn't answer so I let myself in."
You sit up in your bed and stretch your arms. You must have had a good nap because there were line marks on your arms and only part of your hair was messed up. Chishiya just looked at you.
"Well if I'd known you would just barge into my room I would've made myself presentable." you jokingly laugh. Chishiya just smirked.
"Well you can get ready now before I change my mind about walking with you."
You get out of your bed and slowly stand up. You grab onto the bed headboard to help you steady yourself while trying not to stand on your ankle. Chishiya walks up to you and holds you up.
"Thank you, but I think I'm okay. It doesn't hurt as bad as yesterday."
"Ann wants me to help you so I will. Watch your ankle." Chishiya continues to help you. You grab your f/c hoodie and zip it up. Your new swimsuit you put on last night had shorts for the bottoms, so you felt a little more comfortable wearing just a bathing suit in front of hundreds of people. It was still awkward, though.
Chishiya helps you to the bathroom so you can fix your hair. You brush it out and throw it up into a messy bun. There was some mascara as well so you decide to put some on.
"Okay, I'm ready." you say to Chishiya. He comes in the bathroom and places his hand around your waist to support you. He held you close to his body. You weren't sure why but your heart started to beat faster and you got a little flustered.
Chishiya glances to you, noticing your red face. "Are you hot, y/n?" He asked you, even though he knows that's not the reason.
"Oh, I guess. I haven't been standing up today so my body isn't used to this?"
Dumb excuse, idiot.
"Hm." Chishiya hums as he looks straight ahead. "Let's head out, then."
