Welcomed to The Maze

There were four unconscious people in the middle of nowhere. They were Dave, Nate, Ino, and Mia. They were all normal people with normal jobs living a normal life. However, now they were nowhere from normal since they were in a part of earth that a lot of people had been able to see in the past, but nobody lived to count the story of this place. They didn't know yet, but they were in trouble. They were in a place surrounded by darkness and despair. A place designed to show them what real despair is. The first one to wake up was Dave. He didn't know where he was. The only thing that he knew was that a moment ago, he was resting on bed thinking about his own life. He wanted a change of pace because he considered that his life was boring. His wish was granted, but now he was going to pay the price of his dark wish. Dave was not the only one who thought like this since the people unconscious around him were thinking the same a moment ago. They were all tired of living a boring life, and they all wished for a change, but this was not the kind of change that they wanted. Dave was still processing this change of scenery when all of a sudden Nate, Ino, and Mia wakened up. Now, they were all awake. They were confused and afraid. However, this didn't stop them for too long. They started to look around themselves, but the only thing that they were able to see was fog and shadows of what it seemed like trees. This was the moment in which the first hint was deployed. Out of nowhere, they were blinded by an intense light. This only lasted a moment, but it was long enough to leave them with a lot of questions. Where were they? In the middle of a mysterious forest? In an unknown land? No. They were in a land that does and does not exist at the same time. They were in the maze. After the light disappeared, each one of them had a paper next to them. This was the moment in which they realized that the game had only started.
