(Senior year of college in LSU)

August 23. 7:30am. I wake up for the start of fall semester dreading walking from class to class finishing my bachelors degree, this is my final year I'm currently majoring inbroadcasting to be a sports broadcaster. I roll my ass out of bed and do my skincare and put ''my face'' on. While I'm doing that I'm on facetime with my bestie Sarah whos living off campus this year, man I miss her my dorms so empty. The person who was supposed to be in the same dorm as me backed out like 3 days ago. As I put all my toiletries away Sarah tells me something important. ''So I met a guy who live in Cali hes soooo cute I'll show you in English you'll like him''Sarah says. ''Mhm''I mumbled trying to find a cute outfit. ''Whats Josh gonna say''I laughed. ''I dont give a shit hes not my mom''Sarah rolled her eyes

I decide on black leggings and a purple LSU shirt, overtop I put on a raincoat because the Bayou like to rain alot. ''Lexie you really need to put yourself out there more if your going to be a sports broadcaster''Sarah stated. ''Look nobody here is worthy of my time''I said putting my backpack on. ''What about that cute guy named Joe you fangirled over last year'' I rolled my eyes when Sarah said that. ''Joes so popular I could never talk to him, plus he has a girlfriend I think''I started walking out of my room and shut my door about to get off facetime. ''Fine, see you soon have fun at the gym I'll go talk to my sexy hot boyfriend fling''Sarah annouced. ''Byeee have fun''I clicked the big 'X' on my phone and put my right airpod in for the day, playing Kid cudi.

I get to the gym at 8:00am giving myself 45mins before classes start. My social anxiety starts to kick in once I realize I'm indeed not the only person here. I go over to the leg press since I dont see anyone else there. A tall guy around 6'4 comes next to me and uses the leg extention. I shake my head and turn my music up to ignore everyone around me. I zone out a little bit but continue my workout. Then the guy taps me... embarrissing. ''hey are you ok you seem anxious''he asks. ''Oh yeah I have a bit of social anxiety, didn't expect everyone to be here this morning''I nervously laughed. The guy nods as I can't help but stare into his beautiful ocean blue eyes.

I snap out of it when he shakes my hand and says ''Im Joe''. ''Im Lexie''I replied. I panic, what happened of course I know who Joe is, I can't believe I didn't recognize him before. He probably thinks I'm in idiot by not recognizing him. ''Sooo Lexie whatcha listening to so much''Joe striked a conversation. ''Oh uh Up Up and Away by Kid cudi, I don't know it helps me get excited normally I listen to country though''I said. ''Oh wow, I'm a big Kid cudi fan myself we should hang out sometime you seem cool''Joe said. I nodded and got ready to go over to the treadmill. ''Well Joe it was nice talking I'm going to carry on see you around''I waved bye and blushed so hard. I felt his eyes still on me but ignored it. Damn Lexie you talked to Joe for the first time, he felt comfortable around and not as arrogant as I thought.

Before class I went to the library to find Sarah. I tap her on the shoulder since she looks very focused on her phone. ''Oh hi, I didnt see you''Sarah said. ''that guy really has you in shambles, being so zoned into your phone''I laughed. ''Hes sooooo hott you don't understand''Sarah handed me her phone with a picture of a shirtless guy and brown hair. ''His name is Jaden,I was going to wait til English to show you cause you know English sucks''she continued. ''Uh hes cute, not my type but he's cute''I responded. ''Of course your type is your ex from like high school''Sarah snatched her phone. I blushed and rolled my eyes.

''We should get to class before Mrs.English teacher gives us an essay on why we were on time and not in class 5 minutes before''Sarah suggested. I nodded and got my Grey nike elite backpack on. As we were walking to class Sarah asked me why I didn't stay in the gym as long as I normally do. ''uh well there was alot of people in there so I stopped and didn't wanna overwork my muscles since I still have soccer practice after classe''I stammered not wanting to explain the embarrising Joe situation. Sarah nodded suspicously.

I walked into the classroom and took a seat near the back because I dont wanna be called on first if we have to do ice breakers. Sarah took a seat next to me still texting her basically boyfriend Jaden. ''Dude can Jaden wait like 5 seconds''I asked. ''No hes like 21 and makes music he doesn't need to be in a stupid college course cause his parents forced him too''Sarah looked at me. I put my hands up in defeat. I look around the classroom to see more people get settled in... Then I see Joe walk in with some other guy. He pointed to one of the seats in the back. I nevously took out my phone and started looking at soccer drills.

''Heyy its Lexie right?''I heard Joes voice and looked up at him. ''Yeah uh hey Joe''I talked quietly. ''Yo is this seat taken''he asked to sit in the sit across. 'Nope''I motioned him to sit down. ''someones still got a little crush on joe''Sarah whispered. ''Shut up''I whispered back. I talked to Joe for a little bit as he introduced me to his friend Jamarr who is a junior still. During English we had to do icebreaks of course. I hate this class.

After all the classes were done I headed to soccer pactice, I have a feeling this years LSU team is a great one. Hoping we can make it to the SECs and win it all. I was kinda zoned out until someone put their hand on my back. I looked around and saw babyface Joe. ''really''I questioned. ''Where are you headed''he also questioned me. ''Soccer''I said. ''nice real american football is better though'' and theres the cocky joe we all know and love. ''Mhm have fun with that mr cocky''I said. ''I will sweetheart''he winked. I punched him playfully and went into my locker room saying bye. ''Going after Burrow''one of my teammates grin. ''Nahhhh''I blushed.
