city streets

police sirens were heard in the distance as sapnap ran into a dark alleyway, only thing was lighting it was the moon in the dark sky.
The brunette gasped, almost tripping from the sharp turn he did.
"shit shit shit..." he mumbled looking back to see if the tall blond man was still chasing him, he was.

his heart started beating faster seeing the man right behind him. He ran as fast as he could, exiting the alleyway from the other side before running across the road onto the sidewalk, he didn't stop running scared of the man that would catch him. Sapnap ran looking back every 5 seconds until he bumped into someone "fuck I'm so sorry!" he immediately apologized to the man that was now on the ground, sapnap looked behind him once again, no blond man in sight. He sighed in relieve before looking at the boy looking now getting up "are y-you okay? I'm so sorry I wasn't looking" sapnap said out of breath from all the running.

sapnap stared at the boy waiting for a response. Nervously thinking he pissed him off and he would have to run again which he definitely didn't want to.
"yeah don't worry about it man"  the boy said in a quiet tone before dusting the dirt off his clothes.
the shorter sighed in relief and smiled "thank god.." he mumbled to himself. "what was that?" the taller asked with a confused look on his face "oh nothing- I just thought you would be pissed" sapnap chuckled
"Why would I be pissed? It's not like I broke a arm or something" the boy said before introducing himself. "'my name is karl by the way! what is ur name? If you don't mind me asking of course"  Karl asked with a warm smile. sapnap hesitated, for a couple of seconds before replying "my name is nick but my friends call me sapnap and I don't mind at all" sapnap replied, turning his head worried if the blond guy was looking for him and found him.

the shorter has been overthinking that the blond man would run out of nowhere and attack or worse.. he looked around more, he didn't hear karl talking to him until the taller boy tapped him, "are you okay sapnap?" Karl placed his hand on sapnaps shoulder. "yeah everything is fine." he turned his head back to Karl and whispered a reply almost inaudibly. "sap I don't really know you but I can tell something is bothering you... what is going on?" karl asked in a more softer voice. Sapnap froze, did he just call me sap? the shorter had a stupid smile on his face. "come on let's go somewhere else to talk" he took karl's hand and walked to a near by overnight diner "I know it's kinda late but I'm hungry" sapnap chuckled, still holding onto karls hand until they got to the diner. "I'll pay for everything don't worry" sapnap said to the taller before opening the door, making a ding noise. "sapnap it's alright I can pay for my own food" karl said with a smile, he really appreciated sapnap for wanting to pay for his food but he would feel bad for spending his money. "thank god! i didn't really wanna pay" sapnap replied jokingly, letting a small laugh out. "woww sapnap that's so rude!" karl replied in a more sarcastic tone before softly punching the shorter boy on the shoulder.

after a while...

the two boys were now at a table, eating the food they ordered. "so sapnap.. why were you running earlier?" karl asked, not taking his eyes off his food in front of him. "I kind of pissed someone off.." sapnap muttered back quietly. "what?" the taller said before looking at the other boy looking nervous.
"well.." (ding) sapnap was cut off by the ring of the bell. He looked at the door and seen the blond man walk in. "fuck.." sapnap took off his hat before putting his hood on. "sorry karl but I really have to go-" he said frantically, putting money on the table which is way more than he has to pay. "w-what?" karl just sat there looking at his hat. "sapnap you forgot your hat-" karl looked back, the boy was already long gone. He sighed as he picked up the hat
"oh hey Karl!" he heard a familiar voice

karl looked up to see his friend "dream! what are you doing here? It's late." he smiled at dream stupidly. "i could ask you the same thing" dream said sitting down across from karl. "and who's hat is that? you don't wear hats like those" dream asked, he swore he seen that hat somewhere but he doesn't know where. "oh that's a friends hat! they just left" the brunette said, grabbing the hat and placed it on his head. "oh alright then!" dream chuckled.

back to sapnap..

sapnap panted as he grabbed his apartment keys out of his pocket before unlocking the doors.
he walked in taking his hood off and immediately looking in the mirror. he forgot his hat.. "what the fuck"  he mumbled to himself, kicking the little trash can over before walking into his messy room, he looked around with a disgusted look on his face.
"ill clean up tomorrow I guess" he said to himself..
Sapnap has always said that but he never actually did clean his room. the boy sighed as he took his phone out of his pocket, it showed it was 2:30am.

sapnap wasn't feeling tired at all so he decided to text a friend.

sapnap felt betrayed, the only friend he had didn't invite him. the boy shut off his phone before putting the blanket over him. the clock ticking and the police sirens weren't helping him sleep. He groaned in frustration, he grabbed his phone and played his playlist hoping that would make him fall asleep.
he heard nothing but sweater weather playing,
he closed his eyes.. immediately seeing the boy he ran into that night. the brunette fell asleep with a smile on his face.
