It was a bright, beautiful day in the kingdom of Lutum. The sun was high in the sky and the people were bustling about in the town square. In one corner of the square, there was a recently established shop.
"Alright Notebook, it's almost time to open!" A girl donning a bow in her hair and a pink summer dress said while jumping in excitement. Her name was Poem.
"I know, I know. It's good we can open our business again," Another girl with a a blue ribbon wrapped around her arm and a blue summer dress sighed, just as she finished sweeping away the last of the dust. Her name was Notebook.
Poem suddenly stopped prancing around, her head lowering to the ground, "I just hope our shop doesn't go out of business again..."
Notebook, who was busy putting up the shop's decorations, turned to her sister with an assuring smile, "It's fine, Poem. I have a good feeling about this place."
As the shop was getting ready, it seemed that the crowd in Lutum's town square had gathered around the building.
"It looks like a new building."
"Oh my, it's quite nicely decorated."
"Wait, is that the prince?!"
The townsfolk stepped aside so the prince of Lutum could walk through. He eyed the shop, before heading for it.
"The prince must be visiting the new building!"
"Oh my... I hope the girls in there aren't in trouble."
The bell rang as the prince pushed open the door. Without the crowd, you could see the features of the prince. He had golden eyes, and long black hair. His clothes were luxurious and overall... you could tell. He was really short.
"Are you two the owners of this establishment?" He enquired, with a serious expression on his face.
The girl in the blue dress turned to greet the first customer, "Yes, we are. Would you like the purchase some flowers?"
He stood silent for a second, before saying, "Well uh.... I just need some bouquets for my p-partners...", his face going a bit red from the embrassment. "Well why didn't you say so?" The girl in the pink dress smiled. "Tell me, is there any colour or type you'd like?"
The prince thought for a second, before replying, "I'd like 3 bouquets of blue, light blue, and white of any flower."
The girl in pink whipped her head quickly towards her sister.
"Sis, do we have any flowers like he asked?!"
"They're in that box over there." The blue girl pointed towards a box hidden under the counter, just barely visible from Poem's eyes.
Poem skipped over to the box and grabbed the flowers, skillfully weaving 3 bouquets from them and presenting them to the customer.
"Here's your 3 bouquets of flowers, sir! It's free, as you're the first customer to come to our store."
"Oh, alright then," The prince took the flowers from her hand. "Thank you."
"No problem! Come again!" She waved goodbye to the prince as he walked out of the shop.
The crowd outside had mostly scurried away, but a few busybodies still gossipped away as the prince went about his day.
"It's quite rare to see the prince out of the castle..."
"Could the rumour that the prince was an 'emo' actually be wrong...?"
"Well... it's not completely unproven."Meanwhile, at another establishment across the city...
"Ugh!! Today is so packed..." A girl with black hair groaned out, her body slumping over the ordering counter. "I'm so tired..."
"I'm tired too, the shop is too lively today..." A boy with dark blue hair sighed and sat on the ground next to her.
The girl pushed herself up to lean against the counter. "We should just close the shop for a while. I'm so tired."
"Fine, but we need to clean this place if we do that, Bed," The boy said to her, standing up and brushing the dust off his pants.
"You're always so serious about this café, huh, Pillow?" Bed smirked, getting off the counter, but paused to look at Pillow to examine his condition. "Is there something bothering you?"
Pillow just looked back at Bed and sighed again, "Nothing. Let's get cleaning before we close the shop early." "Alright Then!" Then the both of them started to clean the cafe before closing. To be continued.
