Chapter 17

She knocked on the door with shivering hands, her heart smashing her chest like a drum. She took a deep breath and dragged herself into the room. She saw king Anthony lying on the bed with closed eyes and some person who seemed like doctors because they were applying a balm all over the wounded where someone stabbed him.

She gained her strength and stood in front of the king.

"Your highness" She bowed.

"Lucia, glad you came!" He replied.

She turned around to face the doctors and asked about the soundness of the king.

They said "Highness got a deep wound due to stabbing. It can take some time to fill the wound properly."

She nodded.

King looked at them and gesture for them to leave. They left and now there are only two people in the room.

"Lucia sit," He said

Lucia sat on the empty chair placed near the bed and there was silence.

"Who do you think stabbed you? Did you see someone?" she asked.

"No, I don't know who was he," He said and Lucia nodded.

"Why did you call me here?" She asked.

"To tell you something meaningful. I don't have much time Lucia and I want to make known to you everything." He looked up.

"what's it?" she asked.

"It's a long tale, when I was back your age, I got wedded to my beloved wife, Eliza knight. We had three kids together Marcel Knight, Adrian knight, and Fergus Knight. We were happy when we were together. My father wanted me to have his friend's daughter as a wife but I didn't want to leave my dear wife and marry her."

Lucia nodded and the king took a deep sigh before resuming again the story.

"After six years of our marriage, my wife died after having a stroke."

A tear made its way from his eyes.

"I'm sorry to hear that" Lucia spoke.

"After her death, my father planned my marriage to Sophelia but I never wanted to marry her. Something was pushing me not to go around her. But hearing my father's urge, I agreed. We got married and I came to know that she was pregnant before our wedding. I didn't tell anyone this and I started abusing her."

"There were many mysteries that I didn't know about her. Then, Lucifer took birth but he was not a normal child."

"What do you mean not a normal child?"

"When he was born, the clouds changed colors into black, strong winds were blown, and the sun changed its direction."

"What? How's its possible?"

"It is not the end Lucia, an astrologer foresaw the future and he told us that a girl from the North will come and kill the devil hidden behind this face. We all were stunned by this. This is a secret kept by me and Alice."

Lucia was shocked. She thought about her and how can she kill him. She loves him and only him. There must be a misunderstanding.

"Where is Queen Sophelia?"

"She...she...is..."

Before he could say anything about Sophelia, he started having problems in breathing. Lucia ran outside to call the doctor. When they came into the room, they were shocked.

King died.

Lucia went near him and she cried. She noticed a tattoo like a sword behind his ear. She did not know what it means.

The news of the death of the king blasted like a bomb all over the kingdom. Lucia ran towards her room where Eliana and Alice were waiting for her.

She gasped for air and told them the news. Alice widened her eyes when she heard about the scar of the sword behind his ear.

On the other side, Lucifer was on the top of the hill and waiting for dawn. Fergus reached there and hugged him tightly.

"I need to tell you something important, Father... Father died." Fergus told Lucifer.

"What!?" Lucifer was shocked when Fergus told him about the stabbing. He also told him that Marcel was planning to talk over the kingdom. He was finding Lucifer so that he can blame him for the murder of the king.

Both were having a conversation when suddenly Fergus screamed at the top of his lungs seeing the view behind him. A golden sword at full speed was aiming at Lucifer and in a few seconds it crossed his stomach. This was the exact scene Lucia saw in her dream which was turning into reality.

In a few seconds, Lucifer's body turned into ashes, and in front of Fergus, he faded away.
