Ameline was found and raised in a terrible orphanage before becoming adopted by a kind old Herald. She grew attached to her new Grandfather and became enthralled in learning about light and Vim. But when the Herald went missing, and Fiends surrounded her village, she took refuge in the chapel. Here is where she would meet her future guardian, Triton Netherbane.
Quiet and innocent but very impressionable, Ameline is wise for her age. She reads constantly and knows elementary Vim chants, which is uncommon for a child to know. Since meeting Triton, she has become terrified of darkness and the Fiends but wants to conquer her fear and join the fight alongside him.
