Nice morning surprise

Chap 1

Pinata Village.

The mayor's wife had woken up early to watch the sunrise. Smiling, the mayor himself decided to join her.

'Beautiful, isn't it?' She asked.

'Yeah, I'm looking at her.' He smoothly replied.

'I meant the sunrise, silly!'

'Oh, well, that too.'

'Ever think about how lucky we are? Our beautiful village and it's residents, all still here after the goop incident?'

'I do. All thanks to that Mario fellow.' He replied.

'You were pretty heroic yourself. I can still remember you getting everyone to safety when all that goop invaded the whole village.' She pointed out.

'Yeah, that was pretty great. Until I got stuck on that golden mushroom covered in goop. Just out of curiosity, how worried were you for my sake?'

'Uh, very worried! Because if something were to happen to you, who would raise our baby?'

Stunned silence.

'Wait, we're having a baby?!' He gasped.

'Surprise!' She exclaimed.

The mayor was so happy, he gave his wife a big hug.

'We're going to be parents!' He happily exclaimed.
