Chapter 15 - The Theif Is Revealed

Scorpio's POV

"Ugh, what is taking those two so long? I just needed a cord." Mr. Draco sat down in his chair and started complaining about Leo and Sagittarius. "Scorpio?" I looked up. "Can you go check on those two for me?" I nodded. "Yes, sir." I got up and left, and as I closed the door. I paused for a bit. Something happened in a dream of mine a few days earlier, I think it was the day after Capricorn fainted out of nowhere. That still wasn't explained to me in full detail, but I'm letting it slide since Capricorn probably couldn't remember much. Either way, I need to get to the principal's office. I walked for about 5 minutes when I suddenly stopped. I didn't move. And everything went black.

I had woken up soon after, and I was in the same place where I was in my dream. A space-like place. It was a mix of orange and purple. With some blue mixed in as well. Great. Now I'm in this place. Mr. Draco needs that cord! Wonderful. I sighed. "Welcome back, Scorpio." I jumped. I saw a giant human-like figure. I blinked. What is this thing? I didn't see it before. I was just in a black room before. "Listen to me. I'm giving you a curse. And it's going to mess with your mind!" I blinked. "My mind?" "Yes." The figure responded. A hand was placed on my head. I felt strong pain that made my whole body hurt. My vision had a purple tint to it, and I saw my VEINS turning purple! Oh my god! What is happening?! "What are you doing to my blood?!" I yelled. The voice laughed in response. "I've already gotten control over your mind. Your blood is just the beginning..." The voice chuckled evilly. "No! I won't let you! I'll resist you!" I yelled. I knew I could think about resisting, but could I actually do it? "You're feeling weak. Aren't you?" The voice spoke. "No." I crossed my arms. "I can not. I will not let you get to me!" I yelled. "Tsk...tsk...tsk..." The voice shook its head slowly. Then it pointed behind me. I turned and saw myself. But the look in my eye was blank. "You're being controlled already." The voice repeated again. "By me..." it added eerily. The voice was right... I was being controlled... "This can't be possible..." I murmured. I heard the voice cackling behind me. I turned around and frantically punched the air. "Ha! You think that's gonna stop me?!" The voice cackled again. I looked back and saw myself inside Principal Centaurus' room! "What are you doing to me?!" I yelled. "Watch." The voice chuckled. I saw myself going up to Principal Centaurus' desk. I then grabbed the cord Mr. Draco needed! Then I walked into a closet type room. I saw the bandages that were wrapped around me get snagged on something in the closet. Then, the cord appeared in my hand as I was teleported inside the closet.

I heard voices as I heard scuffleling around Principal Centaurus' room. "Wait a second." I heard her voice and heard footsteps coming this way. Oh no! I can't get caught! I then saw a small desk, and I hid behind it. I saw Principal Centaurus walk in and pick up the bandage, and walk back out. I heard more talking and then heard a voice I recognized. Sagittarius. "Someone sold the cord. And I know who..." He spoke. I looked back to my hand and gasped. I stole the cord. "Did you hear that?" Leo's voice called. "I did." Principal Centaurus answered him. I heard footsteps coming my way. Oh no! I shrunk closer to the floor. I saw Principal Centaurus, Leo, and Sagittarius inside the closet. Then they all looked my way. Then I saw my hand glowing. I shoved it into my pocket to try and hide it.

"Is this who I think it is?" Sagittarius and I were only separated by the desk. He moved the desk, and I was now visible to all three people. "Scorpio?!" Principal Centaurus and Leo said in unison. "I thought it was you. But it doesn't make sense. Why would you steal the cord we need for Mr. Draco?" Sagittarius let out his hand, and I took it, standing up. I sighed. "I was mind controlled and brought here against my will." I explained. "Mind controlled? Is that possible?" Leo asked. "Well, once Capricorn was floating with dirt and rocks around her hands and Virgo started flying." Sagittarius pointed out. "Why didn't I know about any of this?!" Principal Centaurus seemed exasperated. "I-I forgot to tell you." Sagittarius chuckled awkwardly. Principal Centaurus calmed and sighed. "Well, Scorpio. I need the cord." She held out her hand. I nodded and handed it to her. I then bent my head. "I apologize for stealing the cord. It was wrong of me." Principal Centaurus put her hand on my shoulder. "It's alright. You were mind controlled, so I won't punish you." She explained. I lifted my head. "Thank you." I nodded slightly. Principal Centaurus nodded in response and let us go.

"What in the world took you three the entire class period to get a single cord?!" Mr. Draco was exasperated. "Well, at first, Leo and I didn't know where to go, then Scorpio was mind controlled and stole the cord. So that's what took us so long." Sagittarius gave Mr. Draco the cord and walked away smiling. Leo just went back to his seat, and as I was going back to mine, Mr. Draco stopped me. "You were mind controlled?" He asked me. I nodded. "Yes, and it caused me to steal the cord from Principal Centaurus. Which led to her, Leo, and Sagittarius looking for it and finding me." I explained. "I see. Well, I have the cord. And that's all that matters." He left and plugged the cord into his computer. I went back to my seat as the bell to leave rang, and I left that room as fast as I could. I was tired and wanted a nap.
