*Laya's P.O.V.
Did Bryan just say that? Does he think I'll run away scared if he told me about his parents? Why is that girl here and why is she so attached to Bryan. My eyes darted to the knife Bryan held, my heart started beating faster, remembering the night Bryan attacked me.
**Flashback time** (the night Laya was stabbed) lalalala
"Come one, just say your part. Things can't be worse." Laya said joking about. I was the afternoon, close to sunset. When, Laya decided to call up her acting partner, "I told you, this scene is just lame. Let's do something else." Bryan spoke, you could tell he wasn't amused. "Just say your lines, afterwards I promise we'll do something that won't make us try to shoot ourselves." Laya said playfully nudging his arm back. "Okay, deal." He replied laughing at the thought of them, doing something other than practicing. (In the play both Laya and Bryan are apart of a drama filled actions. Both have issues, and is a romantic partner to the other.) "Why are you here?" Laya said, playing in character. "I needed to see you." Bryan spoke also in character. "You didn't have to come here. There's an on going war around us, people dying in the streets. You could have gotten yourself killed." Laya stepped toward Bryan, playing hopefully, sweet, and caring. Placing her hand on his forearm, looking deeply into his ice, cold eyes. She felt his body tense, he blocked off any emotions at that point. "I want you to know something." Bryan said looking down to his feet. "Bryan, that's not your lines." "Listen, I can't do this. Although if I don't, someone else will." "Are you talking about your character? Bryan, you're new at the acting scene, you'll get better." "Laya, you're not listening to me. Just know that whatever happens, it's because of my past. It's nothing you've done, no one could stop it either." He said slowly stepping closer to her. Laya was confused, she knew Bryan was a strange guy but, this was different. He had a dark way about him. He creeped towards her, she stepped back each time. They had a connection for days now, everything was blowing up in one night. She stepped back once more and, found herself near the wall. Bryan's eyes filled with sadness, he appeared as if he was close to tears. Laya couldn't take the pain she was seeing before her. She had to say something, anything to comfort him. "Bryan? Are you okay?" Laya said choking up. "Can I just.." Bryan couldn't take the pain attacking his heart, the heart he never knew he had. Laya looked at him, he broke down and looked to the ground, unable to look at the confused girl before him. She stepped toward him, trying to make sense of everything, "don't, please." He spoke trying to erase all the memories they made, the laughs they had shared moment before. She stepped closer, not knowing what was going to happen. Laya was the kind of person, when she saw someone in pain, she would try to comfort them anyway possible. She ripped away all of the terror that she was holding in, stepping towards Bryan as uncontrollably tried to stop himself from crying anymore than he already did. She was now one step from him, she cuffed her hand over his cheek, "stop crying, you're going to be okay." She spoke with a smile appearing on her face. He could tell she was trying to convince him, yet she knew nothing about what he had to do. "If I don't do this, she'll be hunted down, bruised, raped, everything that comes with that. Just do it, do it and run, far, where you'll have to forget everything. Her laugh, her smile, her personality, her as a person." He thought he could save her, so he made a choice. He had to tell her, everything. "You don't understand Laya, I know I'm gonna be fine. I just..." He trailed off looking at her. Consumed with pain, Bryan ran to the kitchen. "Bryan, if you can't practice today, that's all right. We can do it another time." She said making her way to the kitchen. Bryan's body faced the sink, "I'm sorry. I don't know what's gotten into me." He said looking to the sink. Back facing Laya, she made her way toward him. Laya hugged him from behind, wrapping her arms around his waist."It okay Bryan, we all those moments." "Laya, I need to tell you something, but I'm afraid you'll run away." "Bryan, of all the people in the world, I don't just run away." She rested her head on his back, mumbling words. "Bryan, can you turn around so I can see your face?" "Laya, I can't." "Bryan please, all you have to do is turn your body. It's not that hard." Laya, trying to lighten the dark mood, began to sway their bodies. "See, it looks like we're dancing now." Laya said smiling. Bryan could feel her smile on his back, he turned to see her smiling face. "Now we have to dance, come on, move your feet." Laya said pointing to his feet. Bryan looked at her, he couldn't take it anymore. He had to be closer to her, just for one night. He grabbed her by the waist with one, and locked hands with her in the other. He held her there for a moment, until they began to move their feet. "Laya, I'm not like other people," Bryan finally spoke. Laya rested her head on his chest, "It doesn't matter, everyone is different." "You don't understand, I made a lot of mistakes." "Everyone had made mistakes in their lives. You can't say, you're perfect." Bryan sighed, he stopped dancing, then looked at her. "You're perfect though." Just then Bryan's phone rang, which was never good. Bryan broke from the embrace, and walked toward the ringing sound. He saw the name that appeared on his phone, he could feel his heart pounding in his chest. "Hello." Bryan answered trying to disguise how uneven his heart and mind was feeling. "Why isn't she dead yet, kid?" The man on the phone was Bryan's boss, the man who paid Bryan to kill unwanted people. "I was just about to get the job done." "Don't give me that crap, you were just dancing around with that girl. This is why she needs to go, she's making you lose focus. You're too attached to her, Bryan. Now, keep your penis in you pants, and go do what I pay you to do." Heartless man, he had no idea what he had done. "I'll get it done." Bryan spoke wiht anger in his voice. Before the man could respond, Bryan ended the call. "Laya, I'm sorry. Whatever happens, it's because it had to be done. You're amazing girl and, I wish this didn't have to happen. You should have known the truth before now." "Bryan slow down, what truth? What's going on?" "You're gonna hate me, you should hate me. Why don't you hate me?" " I don't hate anyone, it's not right to hate someone for who they are. Now get your ass back here, and let's finish the scene already." Laya said signalling Bryan into the other room. Bryan smirked, and walked toward Laya. "Let's finish this crap."
As the flash back faded away, Laya saw images, not voices. Images of Bryan walking toward her, the knife piercing into her body, of Laya's last words. Her thoughts faded into blackness, she had fallen back to sleep.
