A frigid wind whips across the now barren town. Small footprints dot at the untouched snow that falls with haste. The only living thing that lives in the deserted town besides the occasional flea bitten rat is a young child with fire red hair, violet eyes and the wisdom of a monk and her name was Summer, she was the one who caused this horrible event. Summer you see is not your typical bright eyed child, if you weren't warded off by her glowing eyes or didn't heave the warning endless knowledge of the near future and were foolish enough to stay well let's just say you suffered the unruly consequences. For only 5 years ago the when the blood bath occurred.

It was a rather warm autumn day the trees leaves turning bright reds, oranges, and deep purples. The town was merry or at least what was left of them, the Winter solstice was coming at great haste. While 10 year old Summer was locked away in the town's prison, for she was the prisons only prisoner. Sitting alone in the dark and damp stone room which had no windows and a heavy reenforced steel door with only a small padlocked opening where the pushed her 3 meals through daily.

One guard opened the heavily armored door letting in the harsh rays of the now setting sun. Summer slid into the darkest corner to avoid the light and began hissing, for this is the most light she has seen in years and it threatened to burn her fair skin."Get up witch!" the guard barked. "It's your trial day. Winter soloist is upon us we must make great haste." with those words he grabbed Summer's arm and led her through the dark corridor occasional ray of sun through the tall windows causing Summer's ashen skin to burn. The journey through the corridor seemed to take forever they finally met up with 4 more guards who opened a heavy pad locked door leading to a small courtyard, it was filled to the brim with people some are faces she recognizes some are complete strangers to the middle is the judge with the sherif. There cold eyes staring at her. The guard pushed her into the small clearing.

"Miss.Valter has been charged with use of which craft and murder of young Calie Worth and her parents plus several others found drained of there blood. Before we begin the hearing is anyone willing to testify?" he scans the courtyard. "Well than let's begin. Summer Valter you have heard your charges. You may now testify." Summer's face twist into a wicked grin showing her sharp pointed teeth. The citizens step back in fear but her cold violet eyes lock on one particular person. She makes a lunge for the judge her hands still cuffed behind her back. Noticing this restriction she snaps them in two. Her teeth gnashing at the judge for whom she is now on top of. Two strong arms pull her off of him she turns to find a 10 or 11 year old boy who didn't seem to be afraid of of her. She stares into is bright green eyes before he spoke.

"Don't you see it's chance to escape. Run Summer or they will kill you." she was grateful of the strange boy and didn't want him to get hurt for helping her escape. She holds out her hand for him to take, he grabs it she throws him onto her back and makes a run for the tall stone wall. She easily clears it, she turns and makes for the near by forest. Once there about three miles in and stops at the river. She lets the boy down.

"Why did you do that?" She remained silent. She finds a fallen tree and climbed on it staring out at the vast river.

"Well are you going to answer me?" She turns to him her face was stern. She was about to speak for the first time in four years.

"You show the will power of my people. That's why I saved you they mustn't kill you." A thick Scottish accent rung through her voice which was raspy due to lack of talking.

"They mustn't kill me, the will power of your people? What are you talking about?"

"You must speak your name young lad for I shall tell you."

"My name is Kaden."

"Kaden I must teach you the way of my people."

"What is kind of your people?" She stepped form the tree and began to incircle inching closer with every passing.

"You believe the charges they have put on I are fake? Sucking he blood of my dreadful parents my foe? Accused of which craft?" She spoke with a harsh tone and stopped in front of him.

"Well my mind has done me wrong for I thought the accounts were fake." Summer's face twisted into a evil grin.

"Your thoughts are a weakness to you. You lack of wisdom doesn't surprise me for your generation is weak minded."

"My generation if I remember correctly we are both of this generation."

"Ahh young child you believe I'm 10 years of age?" Kaden nods.

"That's where your far from correct I'm 1,727 years of age." Kaden's jaw dropped.

"Clothes your mouth child for I'm still a child in he vampire world." She looks at him with discuss. "If your done we must teach you for time is of the essence." She steps towards him to where there faces are inches apart. She brings a long narrow finger and caresses a thick blue vain on his neck.

"Are you willing to let me show you the ways?" She looked into his eyes. "If not your surly dead by the towns people."

"I am willing to learn the ways.
