T Maria opened her eyes and let her jaws gape open in a perfect circle. There it was, an abandoned house in the middle of an abandoned forest. Taylor quietly asked half to herself "Do you think someone lives here?" Kaziah was staring at the diamonds dangling from the door and immediately rushed ahead. Taylor and Maria however had common sense, they held onto Kaziah as she scrambled to the precious diamonds. "Not so quick Kaziah, I know that we just travelled for hours just to find diamonds, but we need to be cautious." Kaziah gave a loud discontent grunt and finally stopped struggling.

Taylor quickly gave everyone a place to search and they all set off. Moments later, Maria let out a short gasp and called everyone to her. "Look at this! The letters are all English but the words look discombobulated!" Kaziah peered at it; she was the expert for these. She tried for several moments to unscramble them and turn them into words, with no luck. She tried multiple codes she knew and finally one worked. Kaziah let out a squeal to announce that she was successful.

These words were concealed in the Caesar Cipher. Kaziah took out her pen and wrote down the letter difference and was slowly but surely able to make out the words. "It says T-R-A-P-P-E-D." Right after she stopped speaking Kaziah opened her eyes wide with Taylor and Maria doing the same.

Shivers went down their spines even though it was almost summer. In two seconds they felt chilled to the bone. After only a few moments they heard a man scream. They instantly chased the voice even though they knew exactly where it came from.

When they arrived at the front door ringing with diamonds, they weren't surprised or happy. What had been an exhausting but boring journey, was about to be the scariest roller coaster on the whole of planet Earth.

Filled with dread but determined to save the man inside Maria opened the door. The trio took a deep breath and went in. The lighting was ominous and flickering, Maria tried to laugh at the unoriginal lighting but failed when her voice quivered and another voice appeared. "One must sacrifice if you wish to leave alive" the words seemed to ring in everyone's ears and echo against the wall.

For several moments all that could be heard was shivering. Then Maria bravely said in the strongest voice she could muster "I'll do it." "I brought us into this mess and I'll get us out of here" without waiting a second Taylor and Kaziah instantly replied, "No, no one is going to sacrifice, we're going through this together." There was another flicker of lighting and suddenly the light disappeared.

Through the darkness Kaziah, Taylor and Maria nodded at each other and held hands. Then there came a blood-curdling scream and a man seemed to be dragged away. Taylor instantly alert, grabbed on tightly to Kaziah, and Maria's hands ran at the voice and felt a lot of blood and a body. Then came another voice "NO I need this blood! It will be able to create a virus nobody has ever seen before!'' There was a cackle and then the person threw her head back then all of a sudden. The witch Taylor assumed, took on a ghostly form and vanished with the man. "NOOO," said the trio at their loss.

But they couldn't mope for long as there was a slithering sound and a hiss. Taylor let out a high-pitched scream, and it hadn't been the first one that day. Their last sense of bravery slowly ebbed away as the snake started to curl around them. "Get a grip" they all muttered to themselves and started to struggle against the snake binding them together.

Then Taylor remembered! They had all been equipped with a safety Swiss Army knife. Taylor reminded them about it in a voice that was much more high-pitched than usual. In return, they nodded and struggled to grab it and slash the snake.

At last, after moments of endless struggling Kaziah managed to slice the Snake's head off. Without warning the snake reattached itself as if there was magic involved and started to attack again. Thinking back to their training days Kaziah nodded at them and then as the snake crept closer they slashed with their knives, as they did there was a voice behind them.

"Well done, I see you've passed the obstacle" the voice was mysterious and seemed to echo for miles on end "oh come here my dear snake" her voice was like a secret poem, and the snake coiled away from the trio and slithered onto someone's arm.

Maria was the first one to gasp, standing before their very eyes was the most dislocated human ever. No words could describe such a monstrosity of a human. The person turned her head in a way that made goosebumps appear on all three of the travellers.

"Come with me and I'll help you out." the witch spoke suddenly in a clear, crystal-like voice. Taylor was quick to object "How do we know we're not going to end up like that other man?" she demanded with authority in her voice. "He, she flicked her head, didn't pass the test like you three did." however much the others shivered, the witch's voice was firm and never faltered. Kaziah glanced in the direction the witch jerked her head at, and saw the man miraculously still alive.

Kaziah ran at him and started all the first aid she knew. Little did she know this was all pointless. The man's last words were "trap" just like the words on the wall. Kaziah instantly retorted back at the witch "No we won't go with you!" without hesitating the witch replied, "Well then, face the consequences" "Attack oh my dear lovely snake" she was cunning but everyone knew that underneath the politeness there was darkness. Then everything went black.

Maria and her friends woke up in the middle of the shack, just a few moments after waking up Kaziah, Maria and Taylor started feeling the effects of a potion. An evil potion that made their minds go bizarre and all three felt dizzy and sick to their stomach. "Is this what it's like going mad?" Maria thought to herself before out of her control she threw back her head and cackled uncontrollably.

Little did the witch know Kaziah, Maria and Taylor were experts at this and fighting with all their strength the effects of the potion. Slowly they fought it off, but instead of turning back to the witch, they kept pretending. The witch left with a satisfied smirk and the trio flew to the door. Taylor, being the strongest, cut open a hole with her knife that had saved their lives, in the door. Without waiting for the others, everyone jumped through, then without another thought, they ran as they'd never run before.

After several hours of non-stop running, powered by the events at the shack they arrived at an abandoned car. "Finally this adventure is done," Kaziah said with relief in her voice. Little did she know this was just the beginning.
