Lunden blinked, and she was standing at the top of the now familiar stone steps. She then realized she didn't exactly know how to call the other girls. Great. So she did what any person would do: she sat down. Her skirts piled up around her as she settled down to think. She had two options. Lunden could wait there, or go home. She didn't know how long she would have to sit there. So she decided that she must go home. She reluctantly stepped back through the arch, wishing she could have called her friends.
------------------------------
Wait a minute. This street wasn't in London! No English person would wear that unless they were in costume! In fact, it did remind Lunden of a play she'd seen. Was this....Rome? Lunden turned around. The Colloseum stood tall behind her. Definitely Rome. Sarah's kingdom. Lunden wasn't sure how she got here, but it was obviously to get Sarah. She found the nearest rich-looking man and bowed. Wait..another dress change! A toga, no less! Well, this would come in handy... Lunden asked the man directions to the house of Sarah Octavia Augustus, and he pointed the way. When she arrived at the elegant villa, she was let in by a servant. Sarah walked through to the gardens, probably expecting a diplomat. Her eyes went wide as she saw Lunden. "What are you doing here!" She whispered urgently. Lunden explained, and Sarah nodded. "It was wise for you to seek help. And also to disguise yourself." She gestured to Lunden's clothing. "I will tell my servants that I've been asked to try on a new toga, and I may be a while. My room is that way."
-------------------------
"You said you simply went through the arch and there you were?" Sarah asked. Lunden nodded once. "Yes. It just so happened that I thought of Rome right before I went through. Perhaps we should think of the other countries?" "Right. You take one arch, I'll take the other. I'm going to Egypt." Lunden laughed. "Then I guess it's my chance to visit the mysterious Far East. We can meet up again to go to Russia."
-----------------------------
At last they were all together. Myah, Gracina, and Averia were still reeling from the fact that girls from different times and places had gotten into their world. And in national dress, too! Lunden and Sarah, of course, were over it. They knew why Lunden needed them, and it made them solemn as the others were filled in on the situation. They had been called to action, and they intended to deliver. So as they stepped through the arches to England, each kept silent about her own fears.

This is a picture of Lunden's outfit in Rome.
