Chapter Two An Old Story

Steven's P.O.V.

I woke up to silence. The dim light that hung outside my cell door illumanted only one person, Jasper.

"Glad your up. Connie's already up. If you want you can come with me or you can stay in that cell to rot. Your choice." Jasper said walking away from Steven down a scarcley lit blue hallway.

I looked over at the barrier that kept me from going outside. It was just like the barrier from the last time I had broken out of space jail.

I pushed my hand through the yellow forcefield. The odd vibration shook and rocked my body.

I laughed as I passed through.

"Cool." I said.

"You coming or not? Connie's gonna be dead by the time you get there to see her." Jasper said grabbing Steven's hand and yanking foward.

We walked quickly down the hallway into a large open room. Stars and the empty darkness of space crept into the room from a large window that sat up above a blue control panel.

"Let Me GO!!!" Yelled someone.

I knew that voice, Connie.

I ran from Jasper, yelling for Connie to answer.

"CONNIE!!!" I yelled over and over. Jasper grabbed my shoulder and spun me around to face her yellow eyes.

"Shut Your Trap!!! If you keep screaming Yellow Diamond will hear you. And she's always-"

"I'm always what, Jasper?" Yellow Diamond said, setting her hand onto Jasper's shoulder.

Jasper let me go, fear tinged her eyes.

"N-Nothing. You...Your perfect....Y-Your Yellow Diamond." Jasper mumbled, edging away from Yellow Diamond.

"No, please tell me." Yellow Diamond said, forcing Jasper to back into a wall.

"No-Nothing...I didn't s-say anything.." Jasper said clawing at the wall, wanting anyway out of the conversation.

"Fine, don't tell me."

With a flick of Yellow Diamond's wrist her gem dystablizer was out she stabbed Jasper in the stomach. Bright yellow light filled the room as Jasper cried out in pain. With a thump Jasper fell onto the ground.

"Now, I'll be back later and if you don't tell me than. I get to lock you in the water chamber. So, you can revist all of those wonderful memories of you and Lapis fighting at the bottom of the ocean."
