Rescued

One day Ben and Betty were walking their dog Spotty. While they were walking they were talking about school earlier in the day.
While Ben was walking they were passing a river. He was so busy talking he did not notice the rock in front of him. He suddenly bucked his toe and fell into the river. When he fell into the river their dog Spotty started to run, he ran directly in the river trying to save Ben. Ben started to sink because he did not know how to swim and was way too short to stand in the water. The dog finally got hold of his shirt and pulled him. When the dog finally gripped him he brought him closer to the bank.
When Ben reached the bank of the river his sister ran a lifted him up,patting him in the back. While she had him in her arms she could feel his poor heart racing. Spotty came running to her she rubbed him down with her feet. Betty then quickly went home before it got darker. From that day on Ben was more careful when he went to the river.
