waking up the next morning, jaime sat up with a light headache, nothing major. a yawn escaped her lips as she turned her legs so her feet could rest on the floor. drinking some of the water from the open bottle, she had an advil; to try and soothe the light headache.

jaime took all her clothes she would be wearing today and went to take a shower. the warmth of the water soothed jaime beyond what anything else could and she got out and got dressed with a small smile on her face.

murmuring words to i saw the sign by ace of bases, jaime watched jesse have a grip on the clothes he would change into.

"good morning, jesse." jaime yawned, watching him try his best to put on a smile. "how's your headache?"

"fine. could be worse. how's yours?" "nonexistent."

this astonished the freshman.

sitting on the grass and reading some novel jaime picked up from the store, she was working on her schoolwork. it was fairly straightforward but she could have chosen something easier to work on.

the lively bustle of barden took away the concentration jaime so desperately tried to cling to. shutting off her laptop, she laid back on the blanket covered grass and rested her head on her jumper, which was crumpled into a ball on the ground. not the comfiest, by any means, but comfy enough.

"what's up, nerd?" jaime looked up to see jesse sitting next to her. he threw her a caprisun and she caught it, furrowing her brows.

"hey man, what are you doing?" "as much as i love spending time with you stacking cds, and i do! i love it way more than life itself." jaime laughed at his words, "i figured we could do some other things that are equally as fun."

jaime rolled her eyes, "if you say..." she trailed off, seeing what jesse was putting out. "i brought some movies for us to enjoy. jaws, e.t., the breakfast club, star wars and rocky."

"never seen them." jesse gawked at the girl, "what?" "they're the best scored and soundtracked movies of all time! not even e.t.?"

"nope." "did you know that's always been my dream, to score movies?"

jaime sat up, "no way." "yeah, bring people to tears, you know. blow their minds." "and only music can do that, right?"

sipping on the drink, jaime watched jesse. "you must really sweep your girlfriend of her feet, swanson." "i'm single." "shut up, you aren't. but you have caprisuns and the breakfast club!"

the two laughed as jesse sorted through the five movies and jaime watched with almost a sort of dazed look. "what do you want to watch first?"

"surely we do something else. we could relieve the first time my father ever caught me doing something shitty?" "do you not like movies? everybody likes movies." "everything is so boring nowadays."

the way jaime shrugged made jesse smile and scoff, "what the hell is wrong with you? how do you not like movies? not liking movies is like not liking puppies!"

"like before, everything is so boring. the storylines are over the top, overused and i just don't want to watch the same thing ten times. i can never make it to the end of one."

"the endings are the best part!" jesse was shocked. jaime didn't seem like the type of person to not like movies. "well, you need a movie education, jaime. you need a movie-cation and i'm going to give you one."

"in between bella rehearsals? they're so tiring and i don't think you want to see me tired." jaime laughed, finishing the caprisun.

jesse shoved the movies in his bag. "are you guys getting ready for the riff off?"

jaime sat there, stunned at the terminology, "what the hell is a riff off?"
