Thee journey to Sudo City was long, considering I was travelling on no sleep. However, it was also uneventful, since no one would be up and travelling at three in the morning like me. However, Sudo City was way too populated, so I wouldn't be safe killing the gym leader, Murria, until about this time tomorrow. Then I'd be one person closer to Cedric and Lucifer.
The trip was basically from midnight to sunrise, probably six hours. I planned to sleep during the day, and attack Murria in the middle of the night.
When Nurse Joy gave me my room key, I stormed to the first room on the right of the bottom fright floor, and collapsed in the bed. Within minutes, I was asleep.
•~•~•~•~
Emilia, you are the biggest disappointment I've ever seen.
A blurry woman stared down at me with a stern glare.
"My only child, becomes a murderer because her friends died? Some of the nicest people have gone through much worse! Just because your friend and pokemon were murdered doesn't mean you can kill others! I feel heartbroken, knowing you forced your Gabite to help you kill a man. You're blinded by anger, and that's horrible. I hate you, Emilia Johanna ------."
The last part came out as a rumbling sound, as if I wasn't able to process the last name she used.
"B-bu--"
"Butts are for sitting, Emilia. You are a mistake, a screw up. You won't be going to Heaven, and you will never know your parents. You're a murderer, you deserve an eternity of misery in the distortion world."
Suddenly, her voice changed to voices, as if a group of people were saying the exact same thing.
"Sick murderer, you deserve to die. You killed an innocent man, Arceus will send you to the distortion world. You deserve the worst."
The voices got louder and louder, blocking out my thoughts. I couldn't escape the voices; they were everywhere. I screamed in frustration, and--
I woke up mid scream. Hey, at least the scream woke me up from that horrible nightmare. Looking at the clock, I saw that it was eight twenty six. I'll grab a night to eat, wander around for a while, and then get Murria.
But, was that woman in my dream my mom? The details are fading quickly, but I'm pretty sure she called me her "only child"... And my last name came out distorted, while my first and middle didn't. But, she was so rude! I don't k ow of its the dream, or...
Do I really need to kill them gym leaders...? I could just head back to the Team Ore base because... I know how to get there. Wow, great going, me! You weren't thinking straight, and you killed a man. If it weren't for your dream, you'd have killed another person. You're just a wonderful person, aren't you, Emilia? Great going.
I tossed out Gabite's Pokeball. He looked scared at first, but when he realised he was going to be forced to kill someone, he relaxed a little.
"Hey, Gabite..." I mumbled, rubbing the back of my neck. "I'm... Sorry about what I made you do. I mean, you don't have to force me, but... Yeah."
"Bite..." He said with a sheepish grin, hugging me.
"So, I'm forgiven?" I asked hopefully. Gabite let go of me and nodded, and in turn, a huge grin spread across my face. "Great! Well, let's go to the Team Ore base. I'm not going to kill anyone, though."
"Gabite!" Gabite smiled wider and skipped besides me as I walked out of my room. Wow, he's so childish and loveable... I don't deserve him. I'm so lucky to have a Pokemon like him.
I walked out of the city, heading backwards. If only I had a Pokemon that could fly me, this would be so much easier... Oh well.
I sent out Pyroar and Pachirisu, who haven't been out since before Turtwig died. Heck, Gabite probably doesn't know yet.
"Guys... Lucifer killed Kiari and Turtwig..." I said.
The three Pokemon gasped, and quickly grew sad knowing they'd never see Turtwig or Kiari ever again. Maybe they even feel a little betrayed-or a lot betrayed-that this was done by Lucifer.
"Yeah, but we're going to stop Cedric and Lucifer!" I said as we walked down the route. My Pokemon looked slightly confused, and I realised that they didn't know Cedric. "Oh yeah, Cedric is my foster parent. He's also the leader of Team Ore, and the man who sent me on this mission. Lucifer was working for him, and he apparently loves me. He had the choice to either betray me or betray Cedric, and he betrayed me. So we have to stop the two. Not necessarily Team Ore as a whole, because I know very well that most of the grunts on Team Ore mean well. They just have a horrible leader."
"Pachi..." Pachirisu sighed. The three Pokemon took in the information, then eventually nodded when they understood completely.
"So, I don't want to kill them, but I want to stop them" I explained.
"Ga, gabite!" Gabite shouted bravely, as if he was saying he was ready for battle. I smiled a little at his enthusiasm.
"But, how do you expect to do that?" A blind fold covered my eyes as I heard that all to familiar voice.
"Lucifer, I thought you said you were going to leave me alone," I said, turning around despite my not being able to see.
Lucifer sighed. "Cedric ordered me to capture you. He has some... news..."
"Whatever... Just, please... Don't hurt my Pokemon, okay?"
"I wasn't ordered to, so you can return them," Lucifer said. I grabbed my Pokeballs and returned my Pokemon. Agreeing to go with him is just a quicker way of getting to Cedric, but I want my Pokemon safe.
"Okay, so now what?" I asked.
"... Sorry, Emilia..." Lucifer said.
"Huh, wha--" I felt a sudden sharp pain in the back of my head, and the last the I felt before I passed out was my face on the dirt.
•~•~•~•~•~
1021 words, that feels too short XD well, what news do you think Cedric has? Why is Lucifer so sad about this?
Side note- before I wrote this book, I told myself that I wouldn't let myself ship characters, as to keep to book from getting based more on romance than on bloody murder :3 Well, guess what? *stares at a giant boat labeled Lucilia* ... I failed ouo
But I'm not changing this book from how I originally planned it. Whether or not you think Lucilia happens (Don't forget about Renilia, it'll spark again in the sequel) is up to you.
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOLY, IF YOU HAVE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM, LET IT OUT! I had to go as far as asking someone who doesn't read it for a critique, and it made me feel really bad XD
BUT SERIOUSLY, I WANT TO IMPROVE, AND I CAN'T REALLY DO THAT IF I DON'T KNOW WHAT NEEDS FIXING!
