"Mommy?" Asked my eight year old daughter named Gemma. I smiled at her. "Yes, love?" I asked my British accent was clear in my voice where Gemma's voice was a mix of British-American. "How did you and Daddy meet?" She asked me clearly quite interested in how my husband Alec Rockwell and I met. I remembered the day like yesterday. It might as well have been. So I began to tell Gemma my story.
"It was the Summer of 1998 when I met Alec. I was walking to the park by my house. I was lost in thought when I bumped into someone and fell. "I'm sorry!" I heard a masculine, American voice exclaim. I smiled as he extended his arm out for me to get up. I grabbed his hand and stood up brushing myself off. "Thank you, sir." I replied looking into his warm chocolate brown eyes. His hair was a nice Almond brown, tan skin, about five foot six, with a strong build. "Oh, it wasn't a problem ma'am." He smiled showing his pearly white teeth. I grinned. "The name's Alec, Alec Rockwell What's your's?" He asked. "Oh! My name is Claire Elizabeth Bowen." I replied. "British?" He asked taking note of my accent. I nodded. "You're an American gentleman." I stated. He nodded, we started walking towards the park together. We fed the ducks and ended up getting chased by the geese. We were laughing the whole time.
A few months later we started dating. It was amazing, I felt like I was the only person he cared about, I'm sure he felt the same way by the way I treated him. We always smiled when we were around each other.
On August 8th, 2000, a year after the day we met he had asked me to marry him. He asked me at the same spot we met, it was magnificent! I replied by hugging him and crying, he seemed shocked by reaction. "Yes, you bloody git!" I exclaimed knowing he thought I was going to say no.
By December 30th of the same year we were married. I was twenty two. In May 2006 we took our Honeymoon at the Bahamas for two weeks.
On April 26th, 2007 at exactly 10:54pm Gemma Amelia Rockwell was born. She was beautiful, she had gorgeous green eyes much like my own. When she started growing hair it was a lovely mix of my charcoal black hair and my husband's Almond brown hair. Alec and I were so proud! We were the perfect family. As we are today. I was twenty four and Alec was twenty five"
I finished telling my daughter the story of Alec Rockwell and I- Claire Elizabeth Bowen Rockwell. She seemed to have fallen asleep. Alec smiled at me and kissed my forehead. "Our love will last-" Alec began before I cut him off and finished for him. "Forever and always." We were now beaming with happiness. I rested my head on his shoulder while he wrapped his muscular arm around my waist. I was with my two favorite people in the world right now, nothing could be better than this, it was April 26th, 2015.
