Better off unsaid

I left coach and Terrence on the field as they finished talking to the players who made tryouts.

Chris and Leah were standing by the gate waiting for me as I got closer. "What y'all doing over there?" Leah asked as she gave me a hug.

"Tryouts for football camp, preparing for next year you know the usual" I said wrapping my arms around her. "ugh, you're sweaty Jordan! Messing up my shirt" she said pulling away from me chuckling.

"Anyways, a bitch got to go! Anyways Jessica party is the move for tonight. I know christiano coming are you?". She said walking towards the curve.

"You'll know if you see me there, Jessica kind boy crazy" I said shrugging as Leah walked of getting into her hoopty, Chris was on his phone so I just stood there waiting for him to finish talking.

"Speaking of boy crazy, Jessica like me. Did you get my text?" Chris asked grabbing his bag off the ground. "My phone is in my bag, so I probably got it, what did it say?" I asked searching through my backpack.

"I asked if you needed a ride?" He said grabbing his car keys. Deep down I wanted to say yes, but with me knowing myself it wouldn't be a good choice to make, and on top of that my brother usually picks me up around this time anyways.

"nah, my brother usually picks me up, speaking of the devil he's here now" I said looking over his shoulder to the car. "Thanks, though man" I said walking off towards the car.

He gave me a look as i quickly turned around approaching the car getting in, as I noticed my nephew in the back seat asleep in his car seat.

My brother wife Kaylan spoke to me as I got into the car, truthfully I was exhausted and just wanted to shower.

My brother asked me about tryouts and if I had plans for the weekend, which I was hoping he did so I could ask him if he could drop me off at Jessica party.

"Renzo, can drop me off at Jessica house? I asked him already knowing the answer. "Of course, bro, you can take Kaylan car" he said smiling at her as she laughed out loud.

"You know what, Jordan you sure can use it since I like you" she said looking back at me. "Wait Kaylan are you serious !?" I jumped forward trying not to wake my nephew.

"I promise" she said as she handed me the keys out of her purse. "Oh, my god! I freaking love you girl" I said smiling hard.

We pulled into our driveway as my dad and my cousin Deon were standing in front of the garage.

Getting out the car putting my backpack on before grabbing my nephew out his car seat. Kaylan walked up behind me grabbing his diaper bag.

She asked me to lay him on my brother bed as His little head popped up staring at me. Kissing his cheek before he laid back down on my shoulder wrapping his arms around my neck.

"Bring my grandson here, is he asleep?" My dad asked as I walked up closer to him and Deon.  "Yeah, I'm about to go lay him down, what's good boi...! I haven't seen you since the last family reunion"

I joked walking into the house. Deon was behind me following me into Renzo room, I laid my nephew down on his stomach while Kaylan sat beside him taking off her shoes.
