Hi, my name is J- Sugos, and I come from a faraway place called Sugon. It's located in Antarctica, and has a population of about 200. We chose to settle in Antarctica in order to be removed from the disgusting presence of modern society, and we are karate enthusiasts. It was a bustling town full of amazing people, but the place is no more.

You may be wondering how we managed to sustain ourselves, especially in such a cold and remote place without many natural resources. I'll tell you. We managed to develop a technical fast-travel system that connects us to the main lands of South America, allowing us to collect resources such as wood, metals, food, and many others. However, this system took a long time to construct, specifically 5 years. We had planned very carefully before settling in Antarctica and decided it was worth the risk.

Firstly, we transported resources by boat. We couldn't carry many things on at once because we were aiming for more mobility rather than a sizable transportation of resources. We established a small base of operations at the edge of Antarctica, which is where we stored many of our resources for the project. This alone took us 1 year. I won't go into depth about the fast-travel system, but that was where the other 4 years went. It's too complicated to explain its design to the mainland people, but I can explain how it's used.

The fast-travel system essentially allows travel from Antarctica to South America in 30 minutes. You can simply just hop in the tube and speed your way through the waters. It was pretty fun. We also had storage boxes in case we need to bring anything from one place to another, or transport materials. It was our magnum opera. This system had allowed us to transport materials in light-speed, and ultimately led to the developing of our society.

On the outside, our houses were simple. It may have looked like yours, but the materials used differ slightly. Our energy sources came from the sun and water, but we also used the frigid temperatures to our advantage. That's right, energy from the cold temperatures. More specifically, we call it "endothermic "energy.

We were now able to use devices such as heaters and furnaces, and we were also able to use devices to entertain ourselves. By this time, the population had risen to 73, and we were sustaining ourselves well. In March 3, 2021, I discovered osu! for the first time, and it became my main source of entertainment.

Now, what went wrong? Why did Sugon collapse? Oh boy do I have a story to tell you.

The date was January 9, 2022. Everything was going smoothly; we were living our lives and enjoying ourselves. During this time, I was training my karate skills with Dylan as I was lacking greatly in technique. The cold never bothered us anyway. However, that was until an explosion went off in the distance. Well, that was strange. Who the hell choked their kitchen session this time? No one did. In fact, a whole row of our houses were up in flames.

When I first saw it, my heart sunk down deeper than the Mariana Trench. We ran out and tried to warn as many people as we could, but to no avail. We watched as the ice melted, sinking our homes into the frigid waters.

I was only able to watch as people drowned in front of my eyes. This cruelty embedded itself deep in my memories. Why did this happen? Who did this? We can only speculate. I looked up to see a jet zooming in the sky. This is it, I thought. A killing blow to finish off this town and its people.

I looked around quickly for a second. There were only a few left standing. We all ran to the fast-travel system in desperation as to find shelter and a safe place to hide. We were confused, angered, and distraught by what just happened. We were viciously attacked, and we had no way to retaliate. Our powerlessness in weaponry led us to be wiped out ruthlessly.

We left everything behind. We weren't going to have anything after this. I looked behind me and saw that we were all far apart. I tried to calm down, but couldn't. I felt like I was going to pass out, but I felt a hint of relief when I realized that we were going to make it.

I wish I never had that realization, we were never making it anyways, not all of us.

Just before we arrived, an explosion went off behind me which blew off a chunk of the tube. I saw many Sugonians disappear behind the black smoke, and I screamed. They wanted to wipe us out, and they almost succeeded. We arrived shortly after, and I ran as fast as I can. I kept running until I collapsed. I thought this was the end.

I looked behind me to see the remaining Sugonians do the same thing. We disappeared into the forest. They never followed us since.

I was lost in the forest and searched for any signs of civilization, but I passed out from exhaustion. It was up to nature if it wanted to finish me off or leave me be. You can guess that it was the latter since you're reading this message.

I eventually stumbled upon a small town. They took me in, fed me, and gave me a place to stay. I will be forever grateful to that town. They gave me a path to recovery, and it was a path I was more than happy to take. Once I recovered, I sought a permanent place. I lived in the town for around a year, but I wanted a more convenient environment.

I decided to travel to Canada. It resembled Antarctica in its cold nature, and now I live here. I was able to find other Sugonians on osu! by complete chance, and we decided to enact the "Sugos Sweep". We now live in other parts of the world, but the nature of Sugos will never be forgotten. There are currently 5 of us, including me. We lived through tragedy and strife as we were stricken down fiercely, but this will not destroy our spirit.

Through suffering we can learn. A new hope arises from the ashes of a melted civilization. Sugos. Remember that.

So I ask of you, whoever wasted enough time to read this far into my backstory...

Will you join us?
