Dream POV.

I was walking in and out of the dining- and living room, making sure I had everything ready and set up for when George was going to come back home after his therapy session with Puffy back at the headquarters.
Sapnap had agreed to pick him up and drop him off again for me, and it was no real trouble for him as George could walk without crutches again now, he just had to be a little careful.
Sap needed to do this for me because I wanted to prepare some things for George while he was gone so I could finally ask him out on a proper, official date.
I know it may have seemed stupid and irrelevant to anyone else, but I hadn't even taken him out once, even though he had been living in my house for nearly two weeks now.
I wanted him to know how much I really cared about him, and I desperately wanted to do it the right way.
George deserved to be treated like a king, to be spoiled and adored, so I would do exactly that.

This was, after all, my first actual serious relationship with a man.
Before dating Samantha, I had been meeting a few other people, and I hooked up with some guys back then as well, but nothing really became out of it other than drunken one-night-stands and simple flings that died down after a few weeks.
Sometimes they'd ghost me, other times it would be the other way around because of my duties and responsibilities, but either way: This relationship was a first, and I wanted to do it correctly.

Having George around, kissing him, holding him and cuddling with him every day...
It all made me realize how much I genuinely enjoyed his company.
Of course I knew that before already, but now I felt as though something was missing every time he and I were separated, and I just loved it a lot to be around him.
It wasn't as lonely in my house anymore, and simply seeing the person I adored every day made me incredibly happy and glad that he was there with me.

Again, I looked at the things that I set up in the living room and made sure that the flowers I was holding were still neatly tied and perfectly put together.
The bouquet consisted of cornflowers, forget-me-nots, love-in-a-mist's, some Swan River Daisies as well as a few other flowers, making the ensemble look extremely pretty.
I made sure to include lots of blue flowers so that he could enjoy their colors as well, and I was very excited to see his reaction to them.
And even though I knew he would love it, I was still nervous.
I mean, there was still the possibility of him saying no and not being comfortable with it, so my hope and love were the only things leading me to do this for him in that moment, even though it may have been a little risky to prepare everything for him before even knowing if he'd agree to the idea.

I could hear the door knob twisting at the entrance and took a deep breath, running my hand through my hair nervously as I walked into the hallway, hiding the bouquet behind my back.
George was just closing the door behind himself again as he turned around to face me, and I noticed the way his eyebrows rose a bit when he saw me standing there, waiting for him.
He wore dark, slightly baggy pants with one or two chains attached to them, a white collared shirt underneath a black crew neck alongside some silver jewelry.

"Hey!"

I was smiling slightly while I walked towards him, and I took a small breath again as I built up the courage to finally ask my question, while he was just smiling up at me, seeming a little confused.

"...Do... Do you want to go on a date with me?"

I moved the bouquet of flowers in front of myself from behind my back as I watched him, and his eyes and his smile widened.
He started grinning at me and chuckled a little, and I saw the way his face flushed a pretty shade of pink as he answered.

"Yes, of course."

He took the bouquet from my hands and smelled the flowers before humming happily, appreciating the sweet scent.
