" Harmony, we have decided what to do with you" my mom said. She looked at my father sitting next to her on the sofa. He had the stern look on his face. That stern look would beat the shit out of me but right now, I was all calm and chillaxed. The best thing ever was going to happen in my life.
"Daughter, do you know about Trinity School in New York city?" he asked.
"Nope"
"Well, to let you know more about it, I and your mother have decided to send you there, for two years."
OMG?!?!?! New York city was not expected but yeah, I'm totally in. "Dad.. Please dad.. No.." I said.
"Harmony, I will not at all listen to what you have to say. Your tickets are booked for this Sunday. You have one day's time. Shop, meet your friends, do whatever you want."
"One day. Yea wow. And that was really early"
"Harmony, that's your dad you're speaking to" my mom said.
"Sorry" I said leaving the room and going to my room. Now, let me tell you, my name is Harmony Brook and I live in Denver. I'm 17, going to be 18 in two weeks and my parents just kicked me out of my house. But I'm okay with it, cause, Hello! I'm going to start a new life in NYC. But the saddest part will be that my bff, the other part of me, the one who actually knows me will be left alone. Shit. I can't let that happen. I can't let Nancy be all alone in this lonely planet.Shit. Shall I run away with her?
I hear a knock on my door.
"Harmony, can I come in?" my mom says.
"Yea, sure."
"I forgot to tell you something. You know Mr. and Mrs. Clyod?"
"Of course mom, they are Nancy's parents"
"Good, we both, together took this decision that both, you and Nancy are going to Trinity School in New York City"she said. "Anyways, I have a meeting with Mr.Clarke, I'll see you later." She kissed my forehead and went.
Nancy is also coming to NYC! OMG!!!!!!!! This is the best thing that ever happened to me in my life. OMG! Same rooms, all the time together, no restrictions, I am loving this! I need to call Nancy right away.
I dial her number so fast that I make mistake 5 times in a row. "Hello" a very mature voice says.
"NANCYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY" I scream into the phone. " Why did'nt you tell me before?" I cried.
"Harmony! Stop screaming! And what didn't I tell you before?"
"Wait till your mom tells you this. The shock of your life."
"What are you talking about Harmony? I'll text you, my mom's calling me."
"Ohh! They're telling it to you. And don't text me, call okay?" I say. I'm hyper now.
"Yea okay. Bye" she hung up. I can't wait to get THAT call! OMG. I really love my parents for doing this. By the way, me and Nancy have been bff since childhood. We went to the same school and did almost everything together. She is the best friend you could ever in your whole damn life have. She is very lazy. I have to every single thing when we're together. And the best part, we both were sick of our restricted lives. We were actually not allowed dot call each other because our parents thought that we were the ones who spoiled each other. But now, nothing more of this.
I need to pack up all my clothes. Wait, why shall I pack up all my old clothes? I clearly remember my dad saying the word "shop". This is going to be the best ever shopping spree and on top of it, Nancy and me together. Get ready all the shopping malls in Denver, here we come. ;)
