LIAM POV:
I slipped my coat over my arms and stepped out into the freezing night. Wendy was waiting for me at the edge of the driveway. She had her arms crossed in front of her chest, like she was expectant of something. But she also had a smirk plastered onto her rosy cheeks.
Snow fell onto her purple jacket and onto her hair, blanketing her in a beautiful array of white, purple, pink and black. Finally I zipped up my coat up to my collar bone, leaving a little bit of coat hanging out. The cold air stung my neck with it's freezing blasts, but it was peaceful, beautiful and fresh.
Wendy and I walked in silence until I finally broke the empty space of voice, not even cars passed us on the road, everything was silent and calm, very different from California. "Where do you live?" I asked, looking over to my side, where Wendy stood.
"Oh, I live just down the road, just around the next two blocks" she leaned her head towards me and pointed just down the road. I followed her finger but it was to dark to see up ahead in front of us. "Where did you guys used to live?" Wendy asked.
"Well, we used to live in California" I replied as I scratched the back of my neck with my numb hands. "Is it always cold here?" I chuckled and breathed hot air onto my hands and rubbed them together.
"It's not ALWAYS cold here" she rolled her eyes, exaggerating when she said always. She finally looked up at me and I got a chance to look into her eyes. They were dark brown, and reminded me roasted chestnuts. I raised an eyebrow and smirked "Fine! It's always cold here!" Wendy admittedly spoke and she giggled a little bit.
Wendy placed her hand of the back of her neck and brushed her long shiny bunch of hair behind her shoulders, tightening her scarf tightly around her neck, she shivered. "What are you going to do about Bebe?" Wendy asked, it was the question she had obviously been waiting to ask me.
I rubbed the back of my neck again and looked down at the footprints in the snow "I-I don't really know, I guess I can see where it takes me" I shrugged my shoulders and grinned a little.
"Maybe she has changed" Wendy placed into the middle of the conversation. We walked in silence for a little bit longer before Wendy finally stopped in her tracks "Well, this is my stop" Wendy laughed, she leaned over and kissed me lightly on the cheek "Thanks for walking me home Liam" then she shut the gate behind her. I watched her climb up her brick steps leading to her house and then she turned around and waved before shutting to door behind her.
I kept rubbing the cheek where she had kissed me. The cold soft touch of her lips against my cheek. I smiled.
