A Little Too Sweet

"Who?" This is my best friend Kanata Takashi, one of the popular guys in school. And for some weird reason, I don't even know why he befriended me in the first place.

"The bad-ass-looking guy over there." And this is me, Iori Hoshizuki. A tall dark haired girl. I caught a cold this morning, making me want to shrivel up in a ball and cry. I swear, I'm this dramatic. I don't even sneeze that much.

"That's Kuro Shiranui, a transferee and a year older than the both of us. You don't perhaps have any feelings for him—do you?" He gave me a suspicious look but I turned as if I had no concern.

  "I don't really know—and I don't care much of love."

"You don't love me?" He gave a pout as I glanced at him.

"Idiot. I do—" He cut me off when I was just about to give him my answer. If there's one thing I learned from befriending a narcissist—is that if he flirts with you, let him be.

"In what way exactly~?" He leaned over, decreasing our gap as he gave out a smirk.

"Kanata-sa—" A small group of female students gathered in the field and shouted Kanata's name.  [SFX: KyaKyaKyaKyaKya] Kanata cut them all of with a sweet tone. I knew he was pissed off for some reason when they used his first name. But he didn't want to be rude, so instead, he had just told them to call him Takashi and smiled. "Yes girls~?"

"Kanata—We mean, Takashi-sama..." They all fidgeted in their small mistake and I chuckled lowly.

"What was that for, Takashi-sama~" I jokingly asked in the same way the girls did with a flirtacious tone.

"I will not just let amateurs to call me by my first name." He turned away from the girls and looked at me.

  "You mean everybody?"

  "'Cept you."

"Are you seducing me." In the way I  jokingly replied,  it was not a question. I knew very well he loved me. But my feelings were different—I only loved him as my best friend. But still, I'm not truly accurate of my feelings.

"Maybe. Anyways, are you going to the party this afternoon?"

"Your fan-club party? No thanks. Go on without me."

  "No goodbye kiss?"

"No. What the hell are you? A kid?"

"Then you'll have one." He ignored my sarcastic question then kissed my cheek [FX: Kisskiss] and I just went with it. He can't live a day without flirting. Leave him be Iori, leave him be. Don't even try swearing him.

"Thanks. Wear a coat by the way. Its getting cold." I gave him a small push and he budged a little. Then he pointed  a finger at Kuro.

"Talk to him for me will you."

"I'll try." I stood still as I watched my best friend being carried away by a group of women, waiting for they're  hormones to explode. "I guess I'll talk to him.."

I gave out a sigh and walked over to the field. Kuro and his team were taking a break and I just managed to squeeze in everybody to go over to Kuro.

"Hi," I started. I raised a hand and smiled while I waited for his answer.

  "Hm? Do I know you?"

"Ah, sorry.  My name's Iori Hoshizuki. Don't worry, I already know who you are Shiranui-san." I bowed in apology and gave a 'cute' sneeze. (?) [SFX: HACHII~!] That's only on Kanata's perspective though.

"Is that so," He chuckled and smiled at me. "You have a very cute sneeze. I sneeze like a sick walrus, haha."

"Haha, thanks. Have you ever even seen a sick walrus? Let alone sneeze." Maybe he's not as bad-ass as I thought he would be.

"Indeed I haven't." He smiled again, making me a little red. "Anyways, what is your reason to speak with me?"

"Ah, oh yeah. I forgot, Your homeroom teacher is my mom and she told me to give this you." I handed out a piece of paper and waited for him to finish reading it. "Its your schedule."

"I see, the school haven't provided me this last week." He gave me a smile and he laid the piece of paper on his lap. "Thank you."

"Its no problem at all."
