The tension between both Lizzie and Hailee was rising. The two were well I am not sure what you would call it at this stage. Maybe really like Y/N. Yeah we'll go with that.

The two kept trying their hardest to get their attention during the trip. But thanks to Jeremy noticing the rivalry between the two, he decided he would spend most of duration of what was left with the break with his sibling.

Leaving both Scarlett and Zendaya being in the middle of both Lizzie and Hailee.

"So, is there any one else on your mind?" Jeremy asked them as they sat in the boat with their fishing rods.

"No." Y/N said confused as to why he was asking these questions.

"Could there be anyone?" He asked them.

"Listen Jer, I have just gotten out of a long term relationship, like a couple of weeks ago." Y/N turned to face him with a blank look on their face. "I am most certainly not thinking of dating. I don't think I ever will."

"Why?" He asked them.

"I am 33 years old. I want children. I want to be with someone who wants that too." They sighed before they chuckled. "But I won't find that now. I am probably going to die behind the wheel on the track. And I will die happy."

"You do know now I am going to worry during every single race." Jeremy told them as they laughed at him. "Hey, you're my best friend Y/N. You have been since you were born."

"Don't get sappy on me now brother." Y/N teased him.

"I am being serious Y/N." He told them seriously. "Ever since the day mum brought you home. I made you a promise. I would always be there for you, and I intend to keep that promise."

Y/N just nodded before turning back to their rod. Looking out at the lake. The first real tear falling from their eye. The first time they felt like they could feel their emotions, following the break up.

"When do you think Y/N and Jeremy are coming back?" Hailee asked as she joined Scarlett and Lizzie beside the fire. Scarlett sighing because she has had enough.

"Do you maybe think that you can both stop this." Scarlett asked as the two looked at her. "I understand how you both feel about them but they have just gotten out of a long term relationship with someone they thought they were going to spend their life with. So please just be their friend ok. Be there for them, but not like this."

The two watched as Scarlett stood up and walked away from the two of them.

"She's right." Lizzie stated softly as Hailee just glared at the older woman. "They need there friends and I should have realised that."

"So you are stopping?" Hailee asked her.

"Y/N is my best friend. I should never have let this competition between us cloud that." Lizzie told her.

"Well then, it sucks to be you." Hailee smirked. "Because now I can have them all to myself." She then stood up removing her shirt, revealing her bikini top. "I think I might go for a swim."

"Come on Hailee. Stop this." Lizzie said as she followed her.

"No." Hailee said as she turned to face her. "I always get what I want. And I want Y/N."

Everyone who was near them stood and watched the two of them.

"They aren't an object. A stuffed animal you can win out of those claw machines. Y/N is a person. With feelings. I should have realised that and so should you." Lizzie as she grabbed Hailee's wrist. Trying to get her to stop her movements.

"Let go of me." Hailee seethed with a fire burning in her eyes.

"Just leave them be." Lizzie pleaded. "Please just leave them be."

Hailee looked at the older woman's hand still on her wrist before looking back at Lizzie. Before anyone could react, she grabbed a handful of Lizzie's hair, pulling her hard making her let go.

"I told you to let me go." Hailee seethed as she soon slapped Lizzie across the face. Before anyone could step in, Y/N's voice sounded

"What is going on here?" They said as they looked between both Lizzie and Hailee. "Well?" They asked looking around everyone.

"Y/N. I." Hailee started as they put their hand up to silence her.

"Tom, you talk." They said as Tom looked uncomfortably between the three of them.

"I uh." He stuttered as Scarlett stepped in.

"Y/N, both Lizzie and Hailee like you. Like more than a friend." Scarlett said as Y/N looked between the two of them.

"And you have both been fighting for my attention these past two weeks." They stated as the two nodded. "You know I have just gotten out of a relationship. Just before this trip. Do you think I am ready to even move on." They kept their eyes between them both. "I am not ready for anything."

Everyone watched as they walked to their tent. Jeremy looked between the two with disappointment written on his face before following Y/N.

"Y/N?" He said as he walked in on them packing their bag.

"Can you give me a lift to the airport." They asked him. "I uh, I need to start traing for the season and well I can't do that here."

"Y/N." Jeremy said softer.

"Please Jer. I need to do this. I just. Please." They whispered as he just nodded. Everyone watched as Y/N and Jeremy walked passed them to one of the cars. Lizzie looked at them apologetically before they drove away. Fighting the tears in her eyes as they drove away.
