Chapter 1

She was human like everybody else but that wasn't enough. I watch as life is drained from her eyes. She was kind and selfless, there was a side to her that nobody knew. So I was in disbelief because I never thought this would happen to someone so perfect. But, was she really perfect? And I Katie Peter is going to figure out what really happened to Amilia Anderson.

The last time I talked to Amilia was two months ago when I saw her in the hallway at school. "Hey Amilia", I said. She walked past me without saying a word, It didn't really affect me cause she ignored me every time. She was selfish and rude, I wonder what people see in her. She was the top cheerleader and had the hottest boyfriend. Her boyfriend Jake was the typical bad boy and extremely cocky. At some point, I think everyone wanted to know if the relationship was real. I mean they act like they were at school but, one time at the mall I saw them arguing. Over what I thought, it looked terrible. Couples argue all the time, right?

Amilia and I used to be best friends, I guess that's why I care so much about finding out what happened to her. The first thing I did was talk to her mom Mrs. Anderson. As I walked up to her door, there were missing flyers everywhere. I took a deep breath and knocked, and after a while, she opened the door. "Hi Mrs. Anderson '', I said. "Hi honey, how are you? '', She responded. She looked like she hadn't slept for days, "Mrs, Anderson I was wondering can I talk to you for a second." Of course, I haven't seen you in a while" she said. She didn't know that Amilia and I weren't friends anymore and I like to keep it that way.

I asked Mrs. Anderson how Amilia was acting at home before she went missing. she didn't say much but she did tell me that Amilia was coming home really late at night.

Amilia's dad died 3 years ago and ever since she hadn't been the same. She and her dad were so close. I feel really bad for her, losing somebody that you care about so much can be the worst pain. On the other hand, she wasn't so close to her mom. When her mom was pregnant she found out that she was having a girl But she wanted a boy. She wanted to get rid of the baby girl cause it was not what she wanted. When Amilia got older she heard about what happened and she felt like she wasn't wanted by her.
