"You let him run off on his own?!!" Phil shouted, causing some attention to be drawn to them.

"I'm sorry- really, dad- he just wanted to explore-"

"Honey, calm down." Kristen said to her husband, "Wil, what do you mean he didn't come home?!"

"Again- I'm sorry- I really am- I just- it was boring- and he wanted to go- and I didn't want to tell him no- i thought he would be able to make it home-"

"Enough with the excuses. Go home while me and your mother search for him. The other three can buy from the market." Philza said, spreading his wings.

Wilbur's ears went down sadly, "but- I want to go search too- I want to look for him, he's like a brother-"

"Wil. You're father's right. Go home, you've done enough today." Mumza demanded.

It probably wouldn't have sounded mean to anyone else, but to Wilbur it made him want to curl up in a ball and die.

He could sense the disappointment from his parents before they flew off, going to search for Tommy.

He understood though.

He was disappointed with himself.

With a sigh he started headed back home.

He was angry. Not only at himself, but slightly at Tommy and his parents.

Sure, he lost Tommy, but he was told to come back immediately and not go far. He wasn't a baby, no matter how much Wilbur treated him like one.

And his parents.

Why would they act like he meant to lose Tommy? It wasn't his fucking fault.

Wilbur gritted his teeth at the thought of it all.

How could he stay mad though?

He loves the three of them.

So it's decided then. He will find Tommy, and then they will all know he cares.

And then they won't be disappointed in him anymore.
