Josh's POV
Moving here was one of the best things that happened to me. My old school sucked, my old house sucked, the teachers sucked and pretty much all of my friends were fake. Here, it's different. You don't need to watch your back and worry that someone might beat you up and steal your lunch money. All my friends here are really cool. They talk to me as if we've been friends for years. Not to mention the fact that the girls here are hot. Well, some of them...
"We have a new student joining us today," my new art teacher said,"You can come on in." she said while motioning for me to go in the class.
I walked in and didn't hesitate to say my name.
"I'm Joshua Evans, but you can just call me Josh." I said.
When the teacher told me to go sit next to a girl named Sophie, I was confused because I didn't know who that was. As if the teacher could read my mind, she asked Sophie to pick her hand up. Then my eyes fell on her.
I went to go sit next to her and she looked like she was about to throw hands.
"Hey rat." I said, smirking.
She didn't answer me and continued painting... whatever it was she was painting.
"Cat got your tongue?"
She looked at me, her face full of anger, then continued painting.
" You know, it's rude to ignore someone when they're talking to you, right?" I asked her, wondering if she would answer me this time.
"Says the dude who called me a little rat when I offered him cookies...oh, and by the way, you missed out. My mom makes the BEST cookies ever." She said, kind of bragging.
"So you talk?" I asked amused.
She just gave me a dirty look and completely ignored me.
"Look here you little rat. I'm only saying this once so you better listen. I'm not here to make friends with you, so don't think I'm going to be nice to you all of a sudden just because you offered me cookies." I said really quietly so she could only hear me. She looked at me and then said:
"I have three words for you. I. Hate. You.
