When I woke up, strong arms were wrapped around my face and I was cold. I shivered when the cold hit me. I looked behind me. Eric. We fell asleep on this black, leather couch. I snaked out of his arms and stretched my arms out and released a yawn. I looked down at the sleeping Eric. He looked at peace with the world. I planted a kiss on his cheek, and sent numerous kisses down his neck, shoulder and his arm, ending at his fingertips. I stood up and I walked toward the bathroom.

I stared at my reflection in the mirror. My hair was a mess and I looked like someone that hadn't slept in days. Behind me was a shower and I was dying for a hot shower. I took all my clothes and underclothes off. Hehe, underclothes. I turned the knob with a red H on it toward the white marble wall. I turned the one with a blue C on it the opposite direction slightly. I pulled the shower pin up and stepped in the running water. And man, did it feel good. I found shampoo and lathered my thick hair with it. I rinsed out my hair and found a wash cloth and poured a small amount of Dove body wash onto it. I ran the cloth all over myself and didn't even care if I was trespassing on someone's property. All I was focusing on was the water's warmth and getting myself clean. I turned the water off and I slid the shower curtain to the side. I screamed when I seen Eric standing there.

I grabbed the nearest towel and covered my naked body with it. Eric raised his eyebrows and started walking towards me. My heart was beating wildly as Eric's hands went to the top of the towel.

"You don't have to keep it from me," Eric seduced. I gulped down my nervousness and let his hands take the towel from me. My breasts were now bare and I couldn't breathe. Eric stared at my cleavage and mumbled something I didn't quite hear.

Before I could say anything, Eric cupped my cheek and kissed me. He pulled me closer and our chests were pressed tightly together. Eric's arm was wrapped around the curve of my back. I thought that he was going to touch my butt, but his hand stopped at my waist. He broke our kiss and I couldn't help but feel disappointed. The pleasure that filled me when I felt his arms around me was undeniable. Being honest, I had wanted him to touch me.

Eric left, leaving me confused but happy in my birthday suit.

"Today you will enter the Fear Landscape and face your worst fears," Four announced. "Every day you will be put under a simulated state of adrenaline and fear receptors. But, in the Fear Landscape, we will test how ready you truly are by allowing you to face someone else's fears." I stood by Eric, sneaking glances at him from time to time.

"And if you're not ready, then you cannot proceed to your own fears. The landscape that we provide you with will test the main subjects: intelligence, reaction, stamina, and control. You must assess all these skills to successfully pass initiation," Eric explained, making my heart flutter for some reason.

"Yes, well, not all of them, Eric," Four choked out. Him? Going against Eric?

"I don't believe you understand, Four. I'm the next in command. You are simply an Initiate trainer. Don't go against my orders," Eric barked at him. Four just nodded.

Eric turned to the crowd and asked, "Who wants to go first?"

Peter stepped into the Fear Landscape, which was a large square area with brick walls. Wires hung from the ceiling, connected to Peter. Four ran the computer that would inject Peter with the fear simulation. The fears that he would be facing were a trainers named Shauna. I hadn't heard a lot about her, just that she replaced another.

"Five, four, three, two, one, let the simulation begin," the computer beeped. The entire room grew dark and in front of us we could see Peter making fighting movements. His breathing was hard and he was sweating. As I watched, I felt an arm slip around my waist from behind. I gasped but then he whispered, "It's okay," Eric, "come with me." I looked around at the pitch black darkness. No one noticed as Eric led me away. . .

Eric pressed my back to the wall on the side of the balcony. My heart started beating rapidly when Eric wrapped his arm around the curve of my back and placed his palm on my cheek, his thumb running over my bottom lip.

He leaned in and whispered so softly, "Do you think that I could kiss you in a, uh, not so formal way?" Wait, he was talking about kissing me other places? Whoa. Having just a small percentage of regret, I nodded. As close as he was to my skin, I could feel his lips turn into a smile. He parted his lips and began to kiss my neck. At first he kissed me softly, but they soon became aggressive, more passionate and hungry. I slipped out a moan and let my fingers crawl up his spine into his hair. Eric brought his lips back to mine and our tongues collided. His other arm snaked under my shirt and his hand went under my bra strap, tugging on it slightly. I sucked on his bottom lip and he groaned. Our bodies were placed against each other tightly and having no space between us was great.

"Sierra, let me-" Eric started.

"Eric!" Someone interrupted. I quickly jumped away from the moment when I seen that the person was Max. Oh god, he just seen Eric and I having a sexual make-out session.

"What do you want, Max?" Eric looked almost as aggravated as I felt humiliated.

Max snickered, "Jeanine has requested a private meeting including Sierra, you, and me. She's parked outside, waiting."

"Thank you all for attending this unexpected but needed meeting," Jeanine spoke. "As you know, the Divergent population has been growing. Particularly in Abnegation, more or less. But based on the data that my partners and I have collected, I've decided that it would be best to attack Abnegation. Although right now would be a spectacular time to undermine that attack, my weapons and simulation serum have been limited."

I let all of her words settle before speaking. "So you plan to attack the faction that you believe is harboring Divergents?"

"In simple terms, yes. I want to bring peace to the factions once again, but in order to do that, I believe that having a change in government leadership is very necessary." I could always tell that Jeanine was born to be a leader, because she was a calm but powerful force when she spoke.

Eric was the one to speak next. "So you're saying, that once the Dauntless army attacks Abnegation and rids of all the leaders, that Erudite will resume the position of governing faction?"

Jeanine tapped her chin, considering her next choice of words. "Yes, with the proper time and planning, I wish to have the Dauntless soldiers invade Abnegation, kill the leaders of the faction, and then have Erudite take their rightful place as governing faction. That is all I wanted to discuss with you today. Thank you for coming, you can leave now."

"Are you with us, Sierra?" Max asked me when we stepped out of Jeanine's office. I had to ponder on this, because I couldn't deny the little voice, the woman's voice, that was telling me to turn away. But I had a duty to serve, and Dauntless was who I was.

"Yes, I'm with you," I said proudly.

Max brought out a silver pendant in the shape of the Dauntless symbol. Except, it wasn't just Dauntless. In the flames rested a small eye, symbolizing Erudite. "By taking this pendant, you are pledging your allegiance to not only Dauntless, but Erudite as well." Stop, don't take it! There she was again. I pushed her out of my mind and took the pendant in my hand. He smiled at me and left Eric by my side. I turned to him.

"Now you're officially one of us," he smiled, then leaned in to whisper, "and officially mine."
