Chapter 3

3rd person pov:

The sun peaking through the window woke Lily up. She slowly opened her eyes and turned around in her bed, reaching for her phone. As soon as she saw what time is was she sat up straight.

"Shit, I'm going to be late"

She then proceeded to get up, threw on comfy clothes picked up her handbag and left her apartment in a hurry. As she went down the stairs she saw her neighbor, aka Kit the sexy British man, leaving as-well. She rushed to her car and drove off.

Lily's pov:

"Why do they have such early meetings?" I asked myself.

After I met Mr. Lyn, Mélina, his assistant told me that it would be great if I came to the cast's last rehearsal before they start shooting, of course I agreed. I was excited and nervous to actually meet all of them. I turned the volume almost all the way up to try to fully wake up, which did work. The place of the meeting was about 10 minutes away so hopefully I wouldn't be too late. I believe it was at kind of a theater/dance thing because the actors needed some space to rehearse properly

I finally arrived. I parked my car and got out immediately, I then walked towards the doors, looking for someone I knew. Then I saw him. My neighbor. We made eye contact, I could see a lot of confusion in his eyes. I had been staring at him for a few seconds when Mélina came up to me and took me to Euros.

"Good morning Lily and welcome among us !" He said with a friendly smile.

"Hi Mr, Lyn!" I said, returning the smile " well thanks, I hope I'm not late."

"Don't worry, we were about to start, you're just on time."

He then clapped in his hands and called everyone over. All the actors and most of the staff was there. All the actors sat in a circle in the middle of the room while the staff stayed in the back of the room.

"Alright everyone, are we ready to start?" Asked Mélina with a strong french accent.

Everyone agreed and the cast started to practice and say their lines, probably the ones that we were going to record tomorrow. All the people around me were super sweet and explained to me what we were going to do. Once the cast finished their lines we all discussed about the little details that they could fix and improve. I couldn't stop catching myself staring at Kit even we he wasn't the one talking. I noticed he wasn't really concentrated on the rehearsal. He must be stressed after all. After about an hour and a half of rehearsing and discussing, it was time for a break.

As I was talking with a girl named Julia, she's in charge of the lightning on set, I saw Joe and Kit walking in my direction. I stared awkwardly at them for a second.

"Hi" All three of us said at the same time. I held eye contact with Kit and we bursted out laughing.

"What a coincidence, don't you think?" I asked.

Joe looked at us, confused.

"Do you guys know each other ?" He asked, intrigued.

"Well I wouldn't say we know each other but we've surely met before." I said looking at Kit.

We explained our little story to Joe, he couldn't believe it. So he ran off to tell the others and I was left with Kit. I looked at him, he looked at me, it kinda felt like the time had stopped for a second. Then Joe came back with the rest of the cast and a coffee in his hand. They presented themselves and so did I. All of their eyes were on me, I guess they were happy to meet someone new, but it made me feel overwhelmed. I felt my heart beat faster, my social anxiety went through the roof. Yet, right in time we got told that the break was over. Just then I realized that I was holding my breath.

Kit's pov:

I don't remember what Will was telling me when I saw her enter. I was confused and intrigued. What was the girl I met a few days ago doing here? She looked around and her eyes found mine. We just stared at each other, not understanding how we both ended here. She was welcomed in by Mélina and taken further into the room, I watched her walk away.

As the meeting started I looked for her in the little crowd, but I couldn't catch her sight anywhere. So I just tried to focus on the rehearsal. I messed my lines a few times and after a while, we had a break. I sighed an opened my water bottle.

"Did you know that there's a new girl that'll be joining us through the filming?" Asked Joe. I could see the excitement in his eyes.

"Oh yeah, I believe I've seen her at the entrance."

"Oh that's great, should we go say hi ?" He asked.

I agreed and we looked for her. I spotted her talking to who I believe was Julia, I took Joe by the arm and walked towards her. I might've stared for too long because she noticed us arriving. We then talked about how funny it was that we were going to be living right next door for a bit. Joe left to get the rest of the cast so that they could meet Lily. He came back with all of them and a coffee, luckily for me, there's no kissing rehearsal. They all introduced themselves to her and somehow she looking incredibly uncomfortable, like she didn't want to be in her own skin. It could've been because of everyone surrounding her or maybe the lights or even something else. I was about to ask her if she was alright when we got told that the break was over. I looked at her one last time before going back to my seat, she seemed relieved.
