Ep. 3: First Day

The next day following the team formation ceremony, it is early in the morning when the newly formed CBLT makes their way to the dorms where they'll be staying.

Benny: "Do we get bunk beds? Ooh, I hope we get bunk beds! I call tops!"

Tomoe: "Cool your jets, at least until we get there."

Corin: "Let's see...A179...should be right about here."

They stop walking in front of a door, where their assigned dorm room is. Unlocking the door with his scroll, Corin opens it to find a decently sized room and simple wall designs and floors. A large red and gold-colored carpet covers a majority of the center of the room, with four beds perfectly aligned with each other on one side.

Benny: "Noooo, but bunk beds!"

Lilian: "Hey, better than having to sleep on the floor again."

Corin: "Yup. Let's start unpacking."

Everyone goes inside, and Corin closes the door behind him while they unload their belongings. Looking to his sides, Corin finds Lilian and Benny taking his left and right, while Tomoe is setting up next to Lilian.

Tomoe: "So, would anyone happen to know the plan for today?"

Corin: "Well, apparently we start with...only history for today? Huh? Well, that's with Professor Port...then biology with Professor...Doctor..? Oobleck. With an Oobleck. Battle studies with Professor Goodwitch. Okay, it says her class is also tomorrow...I'm not reading the rest of this."

Benny: "Ooh, battle studies sounds fun! The only fun I need!"

Tomoe: "Biology could be pretty important, for your information. Knowing the anatomy of Grimm can help us pinpoint any weaknesses."

Lilian: "Well put, Tomoe. I suggest you pay attention to all of your classes, Benny."

Benny: "H-Heh, I was gonna even without you telling me!"

After nearly finishing organizing his spot, Corin takes one last thing out of his suitcase: a picture in a frame. To be specific, of his parents standing behind him when he was very young. He sets it down on the nightstand next to his bed, and Lilian glances at it, but doesn't say anything.

Benny: "Sooooo...how about we do some team bonding, eh? Get to know each other better!"

Corin: "Bit early for that sort of thing."

Benny: "Pshh, what're you talking about? It's never too early for team bonding!"

Tomoe: "Actually, it is. Now, I'm hungry. Can we get something to eat?"

Corin: "Well, the cafeteria does open in a few minutes, so we could head down for breakfast."

Benny: "Ooh, food! Okay, I'll see you guys there!"

The boy charges out of the room, nearly knocking their door off the hinges, while Lilian chases after him.

Lilian: "Wait, you idiot! You don't even know where it is!"

Benny: "I'll find out one way or another!"

While rubbing his forehead with two fingers, Corin sighs.

Corin: "I'd try to match his energy...but it's way too early."

He looks over to Tomoe, who is putting something down next to the head of her bed. He thinks about asking, but holds back, while the pink-haired girl stands up.

Tomoe: "We have plenty of time, so I don't get the rush...oh well, I guess we gotta go find them, 'less they cause a ruckus."

Corin: "Yeah, let's go."
