I was best friends with the famous footballer, Kylian Mbappé. He was my everything back then, we grew up together basically. Whenever one of us were down, we would help each-other and pick ourselves up. I knew Kylian since I came to Paris in year 8 (7th grade). He taught me French when I was getting made fun of. I don't know what would've happened if I never met him.
Even tho Kylian is older than me, he would always protect me in school. He was in year 9 and I was in year 8. I'm now 21 looking for a place to live. I live with my best friend Sophia. I do miss Kylian, but he ghosted me when he won the World Cup back in 2018. I don't talk to him anymore.
I'm a model in Paris, modeling was my dream job ever since I was a child. It's very stressful with all the new models coming in. I never get to be on the covers of anything. I just don't think I'm good enough.
I'm scrolling on Instagram when I realize that Kylian liked my post. I jump and smile looking at his name.
"Whose got your eye now Nat?" My close friend Sophia asks looking up from her phone.
"Omg you won't believe who just liked my post" I said with a surprised face.
"Neymar Jr?"
"No but his teammate did." I get up from the comfortable couch and make my way to Sophia. I sit next to her and give her my phone.
"No fucking way, isn't he your old friend?" Sophia locks eyes with the username and decides to tap on his user.
"Wow he glowed up for sure, let me just..." Sophia likes his recent post and follows him.
"SOPHIA" I scream and grab my phone away from her.
"Relax babes, let's see if he follows you back, yeah?"
I look at her and roll my eyes. I do hope that he follows me back, cause if he doesn't that would just be embarrassing. I look at the post he liked and smile. Maybe I should be bold and if he does follow me back, maybe even DM him.
