Wolf Hybrids are different from Werewolves, Werewolves are affected by the full moon and tend to lose themselves in transformation, a lot of werewolves can't even transform without a full moon (unless they're pure blooded), a lot of wolf instincts also go over werewolves heads. Meanwhile, Wolf Hybrids are essentially purely half wolf. They're able to transform whenever they want and normally, it comes from a wolf being cursed. Wolf Hybrids have all their instincts intact which can actually be quite problematic since instincts are strong.
A few terms that may be used and a few instincts that may be encountered: Packmate/Pack = Essentially a wolf's family/family member Pup = A young wolf, reserved normally for pack members. Den = An area which is particularly safe and comfortable that the wolf rests in
Wolf Hybrids have a natural want to bring those they love to their den to be protected. They also have a natural built in breeding k*nk lol. A wolf without a pack may be depressed or less active, they may also accidentally form a bond with people quickly if they've been without a pack for a long enough time. They have an instinct to howl, especially at moons but they still aren't werewolves, okay? Generally they are also more territorial and possessive.
Packs come in hierarchies, with the protector or 'alpha', the second in command, fellow protector 'beta', the provider, care taker 'delta' and the youngest and weakest, pups 'omega' (not to be misunderstood with omegaverse, this character has nothing to do with omegaverse, aside from knots, lol)
Huffing, barking, growling, snarling, howling, whining, whimpering, snapping, nibbling, and chuffing are all noises commonly made by wolves to express themselves.
