You are Y/n. You've been in this lab for as long as you can remember.

You don't exactly know what your name is. But as the researchers call you Y/n, you call yourself that too. It isn't a bad name, after all.

You have never seen yourself. You sit in your padded cell every day, with researchers monitoring you outside the glass walls. You've gone used to that, of course. They've been there for as long as you know.

You sometimes think that you can see other people. That you can go wherever you want. But you don't dream, don't you?

You eat every scrap of food those people throw at you. But it's never enough. You still feel hungry again. But you sit there on the floor, waiting for another scrap to be thrown at you. This has been happening for as long as you can remember.

Maybe one day, this could change. Maybe one day, you could see yourself. Maybe one day, they couldn't see you anymore. Maybe one day, you could dream. Maybe one day, you will finally be full.

But today isn't the day. And this has been happening for as long as you can remember.
