Katelyn's POV
I don't know if I should trust her, but it's my last choice, I can't stay and hide, and going alone would be pointless, I would need help, and if Max is good, she will definitely get us to the safe zone, she's really smart and knows where all the quiet places are, we only ran into one guy! And now we have a pistol and pipe so we should be safer out here the before, off to Colorado! "We have to hide!" Max whispered, I followed her into a broken window and peaked up from the window just a tad bit, there was a searcher, or agent, they were a lot scarier in person then on the news, they had multiple guns and you can tell they were all loaded.
Max's POV
I pulled down Katelyn when I saw the searcher slowly turning to us, he knew we were there, I grabbed Katelyns arm and started running, I didn't want to accidentally take us back to our start so I told Katelyn to make sure I was going towards the safe zone, I ran as fast as I could trying my best not to bring a lot of attention to where we were running, we finally got away from the man, I went to a nearby tree and set up a camera that would sense movement, I did the same with a few more of the nearby trees, so if he passed by when we were camping out, we can have a weapon ready, and we can also see if he moved away or is trying to hide from us. We watched the shooting stars that night, and the full moon was the cherry on top! The man didn't come are way and we were safe to go back on the move.
(I know this one is short, and very corny, but i wanted to add some action in the story as soon as I could.)
