He didn't really want to talk to Damian. If Tim was being honest he couldn't remember a day where he and the demonbrat got along, they either fight or ignore each others existence, and Tim wasn't gonna defend him but it was Damians fault. He started the fights he tried to kill Tim.
He mostly blamed Damians attitude on Talia and Ra's, they raised the hellspawn, it almost made Tim want to go back in time and just steal damian from the league of assasins as a kid. Then give the baby damian to Bruce and they all live happily ever after But then maybe he would have to deal with his own version of flashpoint which would be a mess, he didn't want.
He could hear damian coming through the window "well 10 bucks that he'll try to remove his kidney". Damian came closer with his familiar scowl "drake I hope you have a good reason to ask me to come here". Tim sighed he really did hope damian wouldn't try to kill him since he didn't want a fight.
"Yeah we need to talk about Robin" Tim Drake "so listen I know you love being robin, but I-
"You can have it"
If Tim was an animated cartoon character his eyes would literally buldge out, he was flabbergasted, Damian looked at him confused.
"You don't want to be robin" Tim questioned.
"I used to, I really wanted to be Robin thinking it would help me become closer to be the next Batman, but most importantly I was hoping for father's recognition" Damian explained. Damian knew his father loved him only a fool could not see that, but Damjan also knew how difficult it was for his father and of Damian was never born maybe it would've been better. "As much as father loves me
, I know he doesn't trust me or believes in me and I cannot blame him after everything I've done especially under Nezha control"
"Damian you were mind control so were the rest of the family we don't and will never blame you for that, and I know Bruce loves us even if it looks like his heart his made out of steel, and I hate to break it to you but he doesn't trust anyone" Tim said "Listen instead of fighting about it how about we both be robin, we share it. I don't want to give up robin But I also won't take robin believe me I know how it feels to loose the name".
"Tt, thankyou drake you might be wiser than Grayson, but if we go by the same name then I'm Robin 1" Damian said.
Tim ruffled damians hair "Nah, squirt if anything I'm Robin 1 and you're robin 2, so race ya to the Manor".
Damian smiled "Game on"
