His parents requested an 18 year old Jungkook to take a few days off from the company to celebrate Chuseok with his family. This was a rare opportunity, as they had not been able to celebrate the festival together for three years. The prospect of a small vacation was a welcome relief to his exhausted body and soul.
As the members bid their farewells with giggles and chirps, Jungkook's eyes lingered on Jimin, who seemed off. His usually cheerful face was now etched with nerves and dread.
The scene was curious, and Jungkook's heart began to race with worry. What was wrong with Jimin? What was he dreading so much? As they parted ways, Jungkook made a mental note to check in on Jimin and find out what was troubling him.
But before Jungkook could ask anything, his manager asked him to hop into a car along with Jimin, and the driver soon started the journey to Busan, Jungkook's homeland. Jungkook tried to ease the tension by jokingly reminding Jimin how much he had outgrown him and all the things he could do, but Jimin paid no heed. Instead, he glared at Jungkook, looked out the window, and even put on his headphones as a hint for Jungkook to stop with his pranks.
" Rude," Jungkook muttered before taking out his mobile and playing some random game.
Jimin's parents on reaching his home welcomed him merrily and Jungkook soon reached his own home soon after.
Jungkook's eyes widened with disbelief as he looked at his parents' camping gear strewn across the living room. "Mom, it's Chuseok," he exclaimed, his voice tinged with frustration. "Why are we preparing to camp in this weather?" He couldn't understand why his parents would choose to hike and trek when they could be spending quality time together at home. "For God's sake, I came back home to sleep and rest, not to go on a grueling hike!" His heart sank at the thought of spending the holiday doing something he had no interest in.
Jungkook's heart raced as his mother's words sunk in. "There's something you've been hiding from me?" he asked, his voice quivering with anxiety. His mother's behavior was making him increasingly suspicious, and her cryptic speech only added to his unease. "The truth about us?" he repeated, his mind racing with questions. "What truth?" The mention of his brother knowing something only served to heighten his sense of isolation and confusion. His mother's mention of the super flower blood Moon made him feel as if this were some kind of ominous prophecy. "Please, Mom," he implored, his voice breaking. "Just tell me what's going on."
Jungkook's confusion turned to shock as his father's words sank in. "What do you mean, we're not human beings?" he stammered, his hands shaking. He couldn't comprehend what his father was saying, and his mother's rebuke only added to his sense of disbelief. "And what's wrong with saying 'Jesus Christ'?" he muttered under his breath, feeling increasingly frustrated and out of control. But his father's revelation about their true identity left him speechless. "Mythical creatures?" he repeated, his voice barely above a whisper. He turned to look at his brother, his eyes widening in disbelief as Junghyun began to transform before his very eyes. The world as he knew it was unraveling, and Jungkook wasn't sure how he would ever be able to put the pieces back together.
Jungkook's eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at the furry creature sitting innocently in front of him. "A wolf?" he muttered incredulously before letting out a blood-curdling scream and attempting to bolt away.
But his parents seemed completely unfazed by the chaos they had just caused. "Junghyun, transform back," his mother commanded calmly as if they had just been discussing the weather. "And Je-Eun, I told you soundproofing the whole house would be worth it."
Jungkook's mind was racing as he tried to process everything that was happening. "Wait, we're werewolves?" he asked, amused and terrified by the revelation.
