Tap tap tap. Shoes hitting a cold stone ground is all that could be heard. What if she died? She was mortal, so that was a big possibility... Tap tap tap.
"Eclipse...?" Mnemosyne, goddess of memory, called out, "Are you ready to see the triplets..?"
Eclipse rushed over, eager to meet his newborn children and see his lovely wife. He nervously stepped into the room. . .
The first one was the tallest; almost a foot. That should be impossible. Then again, Eclipse is a god, so it wasn't that hard to believe. Mos
t newborns come in at about a foot. This one had hair and lots of it. Its hair was a ginger type of orange. It was curly. Small rays poked out of its head. The small baby yawned. A daughter. The second one, slightly smaller than the first, was only about 10 inches. It had a little bit of hair. It was darker and more red than the first's. It began to cry for its mother's attention. A son.
The third one wasn't in the room, as it had needed testing done. It hadn't come out right. It was too small. Too sick. It wasn't expected to survive. Poor Eclipse and Delilah were heartbroken. However, they both kept faith.
Naming their children was not difficult. They decided upon Rainbow Skies Eclipse as the son's name. Nova Stars Eclipse was the daughter. And for the final son, who had miraculously survived, gained the name Capri Sun Eclipse, Capri meaning stubborn. (Ca-par-ray)
The Sun, the Sky, and the Star. The triplets. The day the triplets were born was a joyous day for the heavens. Most everyone adored and fawned over the triplets. They were, after all, the first babies to be born in centuries. And these triplets would be stuck together like glue. For eternity. Their love; their bond. It would last forever. Their happiness would last forever.
Or so they thought.
