I sat in the assigned seat that was given to me in the beginning of the school year. We were currently in the third quarter of the school year and I was regretting ever letting Dominic convince me that school would be helpful. My first time ever being in a school, and it just had to be at a college that was preppy and full of rich kids.

I sighed and leaned back in my chair before tucking my brown hair behind my ear. I shouldn't be complaining. I know my dad took precaution when finding this school. He had probably given someone the task to hack all the school systems to make sure there were no possible threats at this college. It just seemed strange that a daughter of the underground world's leader was sitting in the middle of a college class learning chemistry. I made a mental note to slap Dominic when I see him again. The bastard thought that my going to school would be helpful. I'd much rather spend time in the arena practicing my fighting skills.

The professor walked into the room and started teaching. I pulled out my notebook and pen and started taking notes on the lecture. The hour and a half slowly crawled by. I found myself continuously glancing at the clock, wishing the hands to move faster. I jumped when the watch on the left wrist started beeping. My head shot up to the doorway to see men figures standing outside the closed door. I gripped the table as the door flew open.

Three men stormed into the room and had their guns raised, ready to fire. People screamed as they scanned the room for one specific face, my face. The first man aimed the gun at me. On instinct, I flipped the table over and ducked behind it as the first bullets rang out. I pulled the gun from my left boot and shot the man that was first to round the corner of the table. The second attempted to drag me out from behind the table and I kicked him in the face, knocking him out. I barley raised my head above the table and had just enough time dodge the bullet that the man shot at me before I shot him, killing him instantly. I took aim at the man that I had knocked out and shot him in the forehead, blood splattering everywhere.

Kids were running and screaming down the hallways. People were evacuating the area. I reached for my backpack and pulled out my earpiece that connected to the radio signal. I turned it on and put it in my ear.

"Matt, now would be a good time for some surveillance on the area," I said.

"Roger that, Alvera. We're doing a scan of the area now," said Matt, one of the men at the headquarters that was in charge of surveillance.

"Is backup coming?" I asked, glancing back up at the door.

"They have just been deployed. Backup should arrive in approximately three minutes. Think you can hold out?"

"I've survived twenty and a half years in the underground world. I would hope that I would be able to survive three more minutes," I muttered.

I could hear his chuckle through the earpiece. "I would hope so too. Dominic should be arriving about now. He left the moment the your watch went off."

I scanned the room again before looking outside the window. I saw three more men dressed in black walking on the pavement toward the building I was in. I silently cursed as I realized that I didn't have my long-range sniper with me. I was on the second story of the building so my pistol would do me no good. I heard someone walk into the room and I turned around.

"Dominic you bastard!" I yelled, stalking over to him. I slapped him across the face and grabbed the sniper that was strapped to his back, stunning him. "Give me this," I yelled, turning to the window again. I pushed it open and aimed at the man in the back of the group. I pulled the trigger and the last one fell. I quickly took aim at the last two and killed them with ease. I surveyed my work before turning to a still shocked Dominic and tossing the sniper back to him.
